Despite Vanessa's insistent plea to get off Alex's car and take a cab home, Alex had blatantly refused and had insisted on driving her home.

He didn't care what questions Sophia had to ask, or what response Vanessa would have to provide, he wasn't letting her take a cab home when he could simply drop her off and save himself the stress of being stupidly worried over her. Because that was all he was going to feel when he gets home before her.

It was just crazy how the thoughts of her were all that plagues his mind. The thoughts of her well being, her health, of them moving out, of her skipping meals, and the most recent reason for his restlessness— her lips, were all that ran through his mind like a marathon.

No matter how hard he tried, there was no stopping it, and the persistent thought had his mind in a mess.
