章節 63: Vanessa's Bothering Opinion

Even though Vanessa wasn't exactly comfortable with Sophia's decision to work for Alex, she knew that Sophia was right and they needed all the extra money they could get. Although she would rather hit her head against the all, than admit this to Sophia or Alex. Her pride would never permit her to admit that she needed help.

"Did you ask him for the job or did he offer it to you himself?" Vanessa asked, wanting to know what had led to Alex giving Sophia such a job.

"I told him I was in need of a job that I could do an hour after school without your knowledge..." Sophia said, and Vanessa raised a brow.

"And he didn't talk you out of it? He just went on and dumped this on you?" She asked, her anger rising at Alex's irresponsible behavior. How could he not have told her about it?
