If that was the intention, she'd pass. All she needed was the direction to his place, and she'd use the bus.

After all, her mood was too frail and she doubted she'd be calm enough to live through another ride with him without saying anything disrespectful if he as much as insult her or provoked her like he usually did. And keeping her distance was the only way she trusted herself not to ruin the opportunity of having a roof over their head, at least until she was able to sort out their accomodation issues.

"Thank you, sir. But you don't have to give me a ride. You can just point me in the direction to follow I'm sure I will find my way there. It would be better if I know my way around sooner than later." She told him.

Alex blankly looked at her. He wasn't surprised hearing that from her.

"And does it make sense to you to take a taxi or ride the bus when I'm actually headed there?" Alex asked as he watched her.
