Earl tossed the phone on the table and grumbled, "Damn it."

He sighed and rested his head on the back of his chair. His enraged expression gradually turned gloomy.

"I hope she will stop calling me," he murmured.

He glanced at the phone, debating whether to check her messages or not.

'What exactly does she want to discuss with me?'

His promise to Natasha overpowered his curiosity. He could tell Amber that the promises he had made to her were fake, but he couldn't do the same with Natasha.

"Forget it. I don't care." He forcefully moved his gaze to the computer screen in front of him.

Amber went to the condo instead of going back to the hospital. She hurriedly opened the wardrobe and took the white gown Earl had purchased for her. She stared at the dress nostalgically, remembering the moment he had asked her to go out with him for dinner. Because of her stupid ego, she had refused to wear it at the time.
