Iris hadn't started training with Killian and had continued her studies with Sera. However, Killian would accompany her on evenings and dawns, mostly spent with him informing her of what was happening in Dravial and Asnar. She was grateful for his efforts but still thought she owed him a lot of favors that he might collect in the future.

She also received letters from Chrysanthe, much to her relief. Her best friend reassured her that she was safe and unharmed at the Court of Moonlight. Chrysanthe warned her not to return to Dravial soon since the royal family was blaming her for starting a civil war in the kingdom. She also asked if she could ask Killian or anyone for a way to save Amelia's life from being killed by the demon sword she was wielding.

Iris knew that Killian would have an answer for that. However, knowing the favors she owed  him, she was inclined to ask Sera instead but hadn't found a chance to ask the priestess yet.
