When it was Iris's turn to enter the ring, murmurs could be heard from the crowd as no one stepped up to face her as her opponent. Iris raised a brow in question to Lord Kieran, but there was no indication that he would do anything to resolve the issue.
Just when everyone thought that no one was brave enough for the future Lady of Aisgarth, Liliana stepped up to the stage, joining Iris.
"Don't hold back against me, Lady Iris. You may use your magic if you'd like to, but don't expect me to go easy on you." Liliana said, checking the wooden sword passed to her by one of the soldiers.
Iris's jaws hardened, but didn't utter a word in response. She eyed Lord Kieran for his permission and he nodded his consent for her to utilize her magic in this fight.
She wasn't sure what Liliana thought of her, but there was no doubt that she was nothing like the soft-spoken Ricci, whom Iris had easily befriended.
