"What?! No reward? After such a tedious fight?!" Logan couldn't believe his eyes when the corpse of the creature turned to ash and vanished. 

He had already thought of this possibility when they started to fight against the creature, but he didn't want to even think of it happening. 

"It should've at least dropped something." Even Daphne found the situation a little frustrating. 

Given the high Rank of the creature, it should've had a higher drop rate. This will encourage them to fight against other beasts of higher Ranks. At this point, what was even the use when they might not get anything in return? 

They complained for a little longer, and since there was nothing they could do about it, they decided to rest before continuing the journey. 

Encountering this creature meant that there should be more Rank Four beasts in the dungeon, and possibly a creature with an even higher Rank. If they encountered a Rank Five monster with their current condition, they would lose for sure.
