章節 11: Chapter 11
3rd Person's POV
"Where's my lady?" Diane, who was dead nervous after she got the message, immediately came into the Duchy.
"Are you...?"
"I'm Lady Brooke's maid. I came to see her. I apologize for barging in. Where is she?" She hurriedly asked the other maid.
"Come with me. The Lady is currently resting in one of the guest rooms." The maid said and took the lead.
Diane followed the maid and they stopped in front of a room. She pushed the door open and saw her master laying on the bed.
She walked in and bowed to the lady sitting on the chair beside the bed.
"H-how is she, Lady Royal?" She asked politely, with her head down.
"She still hasn't regained consciousness." Yelena answered simply.
"Thank you for taking care of my master, Lady Royal." Diane said in sincerity.
"My Lady, the mage is here." A maid entered, said.
"Just in time."
"A mage?" Diane raised her head.
A girl entered the room. She was wearing white clothes and standing with dignity.
"I'm here to check on the lady. I'm Rezia Lei, a fourth-rank mage." The girl introduced.
"Examine her and tell us her condition." Yelena said, eyeing the woman who introduced herself as a fourth-ranked mage.
Fourth-rank mages are the second most powerful people in the Mage Tower. They have a large amount of mana and are powerful mages.
The mage, Rezia, went to Avyanna and chanted a magic circle on the lady's chest. A red-colored light appeared on her hand. It stayed for a couple of seconds until the mage spoke.
"I can't believe it. This body's soul is overflowing with mana. Her body couldn't take the amount of mana that her soul had that probably resulted in this situation." She was amused. "With this amount of mana. She could surpass even the current tower master!"
"But..she's a knight." Yelena said.
"She is??" The lady tilted her head. "Then why did it result in this if she's a knight? She must be able to control the flow of her mana. Everyone knows how to."
"Yes. Mostly, people who are knighted don't have much mana. And I'm not sure why."
"Uhm.."
Their gazes turn to the maid present.
"T-the lady has been training, but I am not sure about controlling her mana. I mean, I'm just a maid. How can I tell my master what to do?" Diane stated.
"That must be the problem. I'll help her control it for now so she feels a bit better." Rezia said.
She then again came to Avyanna and put her hands on top of her chest. She didn't chant any spells, but light appeared on her hand.
Rezia controls the mana flow in Avyanna's body with concentration. One wrong move can be a risk because the mana is overflowing.
After minutes of control, it ended and Avyanna's complexion returned to normal.
"She'll be fine now. Just call for me again once she wakes up. Although it might take days."
"Thank you, Miss Mage." Diane bows to her.
"Ah. N-no. It's just a job. Hehe." Rezia was embarrassed to receive such acknowledgement.
"Thank you. You may leave." Yelena said coldly, that gave chills to Rezia's spine.
"Haha. Okay. See you next time." Rezia ran away from the room.
Yelena let out a sigh.
'Now she still has to stay here for a few more days. So bothersome.'
"Uhm, Lady Royal? I-is it alright for the lady to stay here? We can move her back to the Baron." Diane said, but received a glare.
"No. She'll stay here. It's my responsibility to do so."
"E-eh? I-it's not your responsibility, My La---" Diane shut her mouth and bowed her head after seeing Yelena's gaze sharpen.
"She's staying here!" Yelena insisted.
"U-understood, My Lady."
Yelena turned her back and walked out of the room. After doing so, she slapped her own face.
'Am I out of my mind?! Why didn't I just let her go? W-well, if I did, then Roshan won't be visiting the Duchy. It's not like I really wanted her here. I just want to see Roshan. Yes. That's right. I'm not concerned about her at all!'
Yelena walked back to her room with her thoughts in shambles. She massages her temples harshly.
"Sunset Sky."
She immediately shakes her head upon recalling what had happened while the other party was on the verge of death. (Exaggeration)
'Why would she call me that anyway? At that time it's daytime. The sun was up high, but she was saying Sunset?'
She looked at herself in the mirror and stroked her hair. Avyanna can't possibly be talking about her hair, right?
Everyone considers Yelena's hair unique. However, all their words are for show and some are telling her that she's a freak for having two-toned hair.
Yelena's face flushed red as she stroked her hair and held on tight to it.
'This thing can't be the cause. I mean, this thing is weird.'
She just stood away from the mirror and lay down on her bed. She closes her eyes to calm herself, but she ends up falling asleep.

"What did you like about me?"
"Hmm.. The first time I saw you, I thought that your hair reminded me of the sunset sky over the Ocean. While your eyes sparkle like an emerald. Though you were angry at that time."
"At the tea party?"
"Yes."
Yelena bows her head at the sight of an unknown lady.
"W-would you... liketovisittheoceanafterallthis?"
"Huh?"
"Wouldyouliketovisittheoceanafterthiswar?"
"Yena, I can't understand." The lady said while forcing a smile.
Yelena raised her gaze as her brows furrowed. "I said.. WOULD YOU LIKE TO VISIT THE OCEAN AFTER THIS?!!"
Yelena was surely annoyed, and her face was red from embarrassment. The lady suddenly laughed and showed her sincere smile to Yelena.
"Of course, My Lady."

Yelena eventually woke up. But this time it isn't sudden. She slowly opened her eyes as she felt her chest so full. She can't notice any emptiness in it.
She looked at the window and it was already dark. Time has passed quickly.
She came down from her bed and went out of her room with a lamp in her hand. The hallways are dark and scary, but not for her. She's used to the silence of the night.
She didn't know where to go, but her feet took her in front of a door where Avyanna was staying.
'What am I doing here?' She asked herself.
She was about to turn around when suddenly, the door opened.
"Lady Royal..."
