Marion was now kneeling beside William's trembling body and groaning in pain. He cursed in his heart, what medicine was given by Ange to make his body feel like it was burning. Even the wounds that should have healed were throbbing.

Did Marion feel the same way? Why did he seem calm and not even at all afraid of William who was now half-turned into a furry beast?

"Go, Marion!" banish William, again. But Marion moved closer.

"I'm not leaving, sir. Isn't it my job as an assistant—regardless of what kind of assistant you assign me, I don't care anymore? You can have all my time and even my life if you want."

The words Marion had just said sounded like a lullaby in William's ears. His body, which was originally hot and sore, seemed to subside.

Marion was like a painkiller to him. An addiction that can never be distracted by anything.

"Don't say things you'll regret, Marion. You can't possibly live with a monster like—ARGH!"
