We nodded and walked up to her. Aki hesitated, but I pushed her back and brought her along. With a tiny frown on his face, Eric gazed at the corpses, while Nea simply ignored them. Only the runaway-whatever girl stayed behind the bushes with her eyes shaking wildly, but I ignored her.

The confused workers who were no better than prisoners clasped their hands and cried looking at us. They seemed happy at first for the death of their oppressors, but soon they realized they were now in the hands of a more powerful entity and trembled in fear.

I went to the burnt corpse of the pig boss and checked his body. The man was killed and cremated in a combo move from Vanessa's end. Not even bones remained from her persistent flames. Next to his body, though, was an extremely hot metal badge.

It was a badge I recognized well.

"How unexpected... I didn't think our luck would shine like this."
