章節 146: - Arena Combat

Gus was startled by something knocking on the bars to his cell.

He was sat against the wall opposite to the bars with his head pressed back against the wall and his eyes closed. As the sound suddenly started, he jumped slightly and hit his head on the wall. He rubbed the spot on his head where he hit the wall as he rose to his feet.

"It's time. The day has come where you fight the champion," spoke the Shenia that had knocked on his cell. "Come on, you must first select a weapon."

'There's only a couple of them in here,' Gus thought as the cell door swung open. 'I could try and make a break for it now, but I'd likely only get as far as the door before I get put down.'

He stepped out of the cell and immediately saw more of the Shenia standing to the side, just out of view of the inside of the cell. As soon as he saw them, he knew that his chances of breaking free once he got outside were even more slim than he was assuming at first.
