Shaking off her head she started to narrate the whole incident while Vilian listened to Mia supporting her chin on her hands. There wasn't much to it so she explained it short and sweetly.
"Mia? You said to me you never visited Blue Mansion so how come you know the Forbidden Library?" Questioned Vilian and saw the counter boy glancing at her from time to time. She ignored it and glanced at Mia.
"Ahh... Uncle Douglas once warned us to never enter though it's impossible for us to enter because of its long casted spells. One should never fall for the whispers. It's a manipulation caused by those filthy witches. The Library is the only key for the witches to get access to the blue mansion and-"
"So... you know that supernaturals do exist?" She interrupted Mia and questioned with an astonished look.
"Yep..."
"And what about Astrel?"
"What about him?" Mia probed her to say.
"Do you know that he's... o-one of th-them?"
"Girl... I'm his cousin. What do you expect me to be?" She questioned lazily.
"You mean to say you're one of them too?"
"Mmm... Consider it to be something like that," she said, glancing at the counter boy who was once again switching his place. Vilian looked at him too.
"You often come to this cafe don't you, girl?"
"Hmm..."
"So it's more expected that the boy is smitten by you," said Mia grinning and kicking Vilian under the table. Vilian took her feet back. "There comes your lover boy," whispered Mia, when the boy was nearing them.
Vilian rolled her eyes finding this quite absurd. Not once did he take away his eyes off her.
"Your order, Ma'am," he said, placing the coffee cups on the table.
"Thank you! could you please take this coffee to the person standing over there on a phone call?" requested Mia.
"Sure, Ma'am. Would you like to order anything else?" He questioned the latter looking at Vilian who was looking elsewhere.
Mia nudged her to look at him. "He's asking you Ms. Vilian," she said teasingly letting the boy know her name.
The boy bowed at Mia, thanking her for letting him know his crush's name.
Vilian sent a glare and glanced at him raising one of her eyebrows. "If we'd need something we would call the waiter, not the counter boy," she said.
She was smiling but held cold eyes that glanced back at him as if warning him not to mess.
"Apologise me if I've offended you, ma'am." The boy bowed and left feeling ashamed with the cup of coffee, walking towards Zen.
"You shouldn't have done that yuh know..." commented Mia shaking her head, pitying the boy.
Vilian ignored what she said and took the coffee cup and sipped it. The vaporizing smoke with its pleasant aroma wafted to her nose making her feel relaxed. She took one of the coffee bean seeds from the sources of the cup that was decored with coffee bean seeds and observed it with deep concern as if she was studying it inch by inch.
"So you're a Vampire too?" Asked Vilian lifting her off the bean seeds after syncing everything in her mind.
"Yeah..."
"Awesome!!" she said. Gone were the cold look replaced with excitement.
"It's not like the books you read but Vilian this information should be zipped up, you get it? Didn't Icy warn you or compel?"
"I don't think he did that. If so I wouldn't have mentioned it to you, would I?"
"Shush! Zen's coming," shushed Mia seeing him approaching them.
"Was it father?" She Questioned once Zen came and sat with the Mocha cup in his hand.
"Yes. Master Castor wants young miss to attend the date tomorrow at 7 p.m. The dresses will be arranged before the day which is today and your mother asked me to take you home early today," said Zen, seriously with a grim look on his face. "Thank you for this," he said raising the coffee cup in front of Mia.
"Need not to mention, yuh know," said Mia with an awkward smile.
"Uhh... Looks like I won't be able to enjoy the day with my buddy. We'll have to leave Vilian before we reach home." Mia left a tired sigh and sipped the coffee down in one go.
Vilian insisted on spending more time at the cafe, so Mia left with Zen after spending a little more time with her.
And just like that she had her second cup of coffee and left the Cafe for her home getting into a taxi.
By the time she reached her home, it was 11 passed reaching noon. Vilian was welcomed by the servant's unusual bustle and sense of urgency.
"Greetings, Mi'lady!" greeted, some of the servants' in unison seeing her entering the mansion while some of them greeted her when she passed by them.
Lily came running down the stairs nearly about to fall but the maid cared less of it and continued rushing toward her.
"Mi'lady!! Where have you been all these days? Do you realize that you've nearly caused a panic attack if not for Ms. Caster mentioning your presence at her home? You could–"
"Would you calm down, Lily?" she said urging and pushing the worried maid to sit on the staircase as she kneeled in front of her which caused her unhealed wound on the knee to sting.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath bearing the sting.
"There's nothing to worry about. I'm all fine. I got a pretty lotta day to spend time with my bestie after a very long time," she said and stood up on her feet to walk up the staircases.
Lily came running behind her.
"You won't believe what I'm going to say," said Vilian excitingly causing the maid to feel so curious.
"Is it that you've bought a better gift for the young master, Mi'lady?"
"Oh, dear! Why, how could I forget my mooncake's birthday present?"
"Is it not that, Mi'lady?"
"It isn't but I must find him a better gift before the party. Thank god! It isn't today but tomorrow, or I'll have to rack my brain to find something in a rush," she said and left a sigh of relief.
"It is indeed, Mi'lady," said the maid following her closely.
"Mia has been asked to attend a blind date tomorrow. Why you should have witnessed her quality expression. She was totally dumbstruck this morning, ready to pounce at anyone and everyone." She giggled remembering the incidents, "I wonder what ruckus might she cause just to get rid of this thing."
"Was it Senior Castor who said her?" questioned the maid curiously and got a humming response, "It is very unlike of him, don't think, Mi'lady?"
"Very much indeed." Said Vilian and they both entered her room.
The room brought back the scenes that she had to face the last time she was in the same room. It made a shiver run down her spine. "Did you find anything to be odd in here, Lily?" She questioned, running her hands over the cold and soft bedsheet.
"No, Mi'lady. Is anything the matter, Mi'lady?"
"It would be nice if you could prepare a hot bath." She said as she ran her fingers through her golden hair and let her body fall on the soft mattress. "What an eventful time it was. I feel like my energy has been drained out of my body."
