"Technically, there is nothing beneath the ocean." Saraquel began to explain how he created the seals in great detail. However, Noboru interrupted the archangel, noticing the uneasiness rising in the two Kelpies. 

"My former master is trying to bring back Jormungand, the world-devouring serpent. Since there are seals in The Underworld, I presume these seals fulfill the same function."

The room grew silent. Bahlam and his father talked in their language. Even without understanding its meaning, everybody knew they were panicking. 

"This is bad news," Lifen quietly said to her group. "Can you not redo the seals?" She looked at the archangel. Saraquel pointed at his disfigurement. "I no longer can create powerful seals. Any strong magic will only worsen my condition."

"Speaking of which, how were you afflicted in the first place?"
