章節 112: Coda [Past]

Dubhán woke up next to Famke's naked body. The succubus was sound asleep, breathing deeply. 

Even though sleeping with her had become a chore rather than a pleasure, he still could not come around to disliking her. Here, under the pale light of the night lamp, Sloth looked vulnerable. The Fae gently brushed her long hair aside to enjoy her peaceful sleeping face. 

"Do you hate me?" 

She didn't open her eyes when she asked. 

"No. But you're doing a good job making sure everybody else does."

"..."

"What are you planning, Famke? Can't you tell me?" 

"If I did, it would fail." She opened her eyes. "I'm sorry."

Dubhán sighed and got up. As he got dressed, he failed to see the succubus reaching out to him, then stopped midway. There was a sad look on her face.

"Don't go to see him," she whispered.

"I'm not," Dubhán responded, not looking back at her.
