The assassin whose goal was to kidnap the noble children within the Vermillion and Silva household. They had carefully planned it by sneaking into their property and when the opportunity to gain more than one royal child took the chance since it would be difficult to have the chance arise once more. Their intention was hidden quite well since they learned of the powerful Fuguleon and Mereoleona was within the place.
Though they might be strong but once they gain the children then it would be easier to make them obey their commands in exchange of not harming the children. Furthermore, they had heard about the genius who had been a topic among the servants who had been under Mereoleona's command.
It was a pawn that could be used since if they were able to manipulate him and turn the child into their puppet then it would be beneficial for their group since children are much easier to trick. Unfortunately for them, they underestimate the information they've gathered and don't know the power of the other child.
Sapphire rarely showed off and was only there to accompany Caelum with his mission. Therefore, the assassin wasn't aware that they had been trapped within an illusion looking at the children playing but we're actually fake.
'They seem to be quite an incapable bunch…'
Caelum muttered observing the assassin while he remained in the shadow using a skill that he made using [ Creator ] that erased his presence and intent even Ki users like Yami won't be able to detect his presence. He quickly used [ Shundō ] to touch everyone and nullify their usage of magic.
The [ Anti-skill ] aspect of his [ Creator ] skill was extremely convenient when the world heavily used magic. The assassin was completely obviously aware of the handicap that Caelum had placed in them.
"On my mark, ready, set-"
"Go."
Caelum said before using his skills to manipulate their body and throwing them into the open field. The assassin groaned in pain but quickly fixed himself and stared intently at the young boy before them. They were confused about who was responsible for pulling them into the open but focused their attention on the young boy who was cracking his neck looking at them.
The assassin quickly surrounds him while he remains calm having a carefree expression.
"Are you the genius boy that we were hearing about?"
"It seems my fame reaches even scum like you."
He said while ignoring their blabbering trying to convince them to join their cause but Caelum hardly cared and focused on counting them. The assassin was annoyed that he wasn't listening and dozing off.
"Kid are you deaf or what!?"
"No, I was just thinking of ways to kill all of you."
Caelum narrowed his expression flaring his killing intent causing the mana yo churning into his abdomen before spreading evenly into his magic circuits. The assassin realized something was wrong and quickly tried to cast a spell only to meet with nothing.
"What!? Our magic!?"
"S-Sir, we can't cast magic for some reason!"
They were horrified at the realization that their magic had disappeared despite their grimoire still working. Caelum chuckled and turned into roaring laughter looking at their expression as he emotionlessly stood with his power reaching high degrees. He used [Shundō] to appear before them and kick one of them in such an immense force that it caused their head to explode. Without wasting any moment, slice his enemy by producing a flying sword behind him.
The assassin fell like flies with three out of the ten were instantly dispatched by Caelum who stood in the air with blades hovering on his back. He didn't feel anything when slicing their flesh and only saw them as an enemy. Though, their reason may vary but he hardly cares since it's either them or him.
It was unfortunate that they had relied on their magic that simple swordsmanship or other forms of combat had been irrelevant, making them no more than average civilians. Caelum laughed at their reliant on magic and never took the time to learn real assassination.
"M-Monster!?"
These were the thoughts looking at the child who appeared to be 10 years old slaughtering their allies as if they were ants. It was fortunate that Caelum focused on control over increasing his Mana capacity since even though he had smaller Mana than normal people was able to fully utilize them thanks to his Magic circuit and Mana core.
'Should I interrogate them or just kill them then resurrect them?'
He considers heading there and fighting them to go all out for once. Caelum decided to just kill them after interrogating them. It then suddenly made something click within his mind and knew what to do after killing them.
The assassin realized that their mission had already failed since they didn't have any magic and tried to escape but unfortunately Caelum didn't let it happen and the flying sword sliced them to pieces soaking the grass with their blood. Viscera and their limbs on the ground while Caelum stares intently towards the last surviving member looking at him in fear.
"Please D-Don't kill me."
"Just Tell me who sent you and where is your headquarters then I won't kill you, Understand?"
He fiercely nodded and told him everything, learning that their headquarters was relatively far but Caelum had plans on how to visit the place. The possibility of his words to be false was slim as Caelum made a skill to see through lies.
"T-That's all I know!"
Caelum nodded, walking away from him, which caused the assassin to sigh in relief and tried to stand up but was unable to. Before he knew his vision went upside down and saw the child's eye shimmering in a crimson red glow.
"Sorry, nothing personal."
He said before use his magic to clean the place since it was too gruesome and troublesome for people to start investigating what happened. Caelum took their grimoire and sold them into the systems, acquiring quite a lot of points.
The young boy clean himself before returning to where Noelle and Mimosa run up to him and take each of his arms that surprise him.
"Caelum, can you be my husband?"
"N-No fair, we agreed that we'll share him."
Caelum confused and somehow heard the FBI then turned to look at Sapphire who was giggling while Leopold confused what's going on since he was too innocent to understand the scene.
"They wanted to roleplay as family and the two started arguing over who would be the wife."
"Let me guess you told the harem thing."
She didn't say anything and giggled enjoying her lover hugged by the two girls causing Caelum to sigh and join their roleplay. They easily get along and Noelle's shyness slowly faded away since Caelum made her feel wanted, unlike her family.
Few minutes later, Caelum senses people coming their way and sees Mereoleona followed by Fuguleon and three other people. He stared intently at the two who were scoffing towards his direction.
"Tch. Who are these people playing with you, Noelle?"
Noelle downcast made feel sad hearing her brother's tone before feeling a warm hand caressing her head and saw Caelum standing up showing a smile on her face.
"I'm Caelum and I assume you're her sibling?"
"Hmph how dare a commoner speak with a noble. You should be taught a lesson!"
Caelum dislikes showing off and looks at Mereoleona observing the situation trying to see how things goes. He didn't give a crap and approach them while keeping his presence known. The pressure darkens upon taking his first step and Noelle's oldest brother felt it looking at Caelum gauging his strength.
"Huh? So your royalty? What is so great about a title?? When it comes to it, you're more useless than the commoner."
"Watch your tongue boy."
Nozel flared his aura trying to pressure Caelum only to be met by a terrifying sensation looking at his crimson red eyes. Mereoleona smirked at the situation while Fuguleon decided to stop before everything got out of hand.
"Nozel, why are you bickering with your child? You should be ashamed of yourself."
"Hmph, how can you let him be after mocking a royalty?"
"Hahaha you should be careful because that boy can pummel to the ground."
Mereoleona laughed since they were underestimating Caelum and felt how things could go if he tried to attack the young boy. Nozel took a moment upon hearing hsr words then looking intent at Caelum.
"He's my disciple and has been training under me since he was 4. I bet you ask if he can wipe your floor even without a grimoire."
"You're kidding right, lady Mereoleona?"
"Hell no! I don't joke around when it comes to someone's strength."
The two children take a blow since Mereoleona respects strength and gaining her acknowledgement is a feat that few are able to see. Caelum smugly smiled since he was prepared to fight them even as the cause of staying in the clover kingdom.
Noelle who was protected by Caelum felt emotional since this is the first time someone stood up for her beside mimosa who was comforting her.
"I can't accept a commoner to have more strength than royalty!"
"What do you want? A duel?? If I won then you would likely cry and say I cheated or try to twist the truth. Therefore fighting a Noble has no point since all of you rely on status rather than true power."
Caelum provokes them further, enjoying their expression while Nozel couldn't say anything since his intuition tells him that fighting the young boy is losing the game.
"Then I challenge you to fair duel where everyone is able to see how noble is superior than-"
"Quiet, Solid!"
Nozel spoke stopping his brother than speaking further and turned to observe him then to his sister Noelle. He regretted that he was unable to do anything and was trying to make her sister stronger but ended up neglecting her. Upon seeing how Caelum acted decided to let him protect his sister and distance her from the truth.
He doesn't want her to be involved in his mission to find the killer of their mother. Caelum knew all of these which is why he wasn't planning on actually fighting them.
"Once you two acquire your grimoire then I will let you two fight in the arena when the magic knight begins their assessment."
Caelum nodded in agreement since it was more than enough to be stronger than everyone else.
"Alright! Hope you don't disappoint when the time comes."
"As if we'll lose to you!"
The two siblings glared at Caelum who ignored them only looking at Mereoleona giving thumbs up while Fuguleon sighs at the turn of events. After a while Noelles and Mimosa needed to go home to give their farewell to Caelum and Sapphire.
"Let's play again next time."
"A-Alright and thank you for protecting me."
"It's amazing how you help Noelle from those bullies."
Caelum only smiled since he hated those two and protecting Noelle was a nice addition. He could already see that his action had made a big impression on their hearts. Nozel watching them few meters away speaking to Mereoleona regarding their origin.
"So that's the genius we are all hearing about?"
"That's right, his talent is out of this world and grasp everything taught to him like a sponge."
"I heard Lady and Lord Vermillion aim to foster him? Is it true?"
"Nah, they've offered him but declined saying he was satisfied enough with his status and told a ridiculous thing that it was just a name. Regardless, our family considers him as part of our household."
"Is that so?"
Nozel muttered looking at him and gave a tight hug to Noelle who returned to her brother with a wide smile. He never saw Noelle smile like that before and felt his heart flutter enjoyment seeing the image of their mother within Noelle's face.
Caelum gave nod when Nozel staring at his direction sensing his intention showing his gratitude in helping Noelle before leaving to return home. Mereoleona approached him and messed up his hair.
"You brat really did it now! Anyway, let's continue training since you've already finished playing. Hope you don't mind, Sapphire."
"It's fine, I'll be on the side watching."
"Then I'll take Leopold and leave you all to it."
Caelum is currently busy studying the books and martial arts that he had been learning trying to grasp their meaning. He took account of their philosophy and ways of combat to have better grasping when encountering a fight. It was rather easy for him to understand them as he had made [ Memory palace] to easily memorize and organize his memory. His mind was capable of remembering everything in the utmost detail so long someone or something reminded him of the memory.
He experimented with his [ Creator ] to see the in and out of what it is capable of doing. Caelum doesn't have a clear grasp of certain fundamentals of skills and the energy for it to be created. However, he was able to fully copy the magic of Mereoleona and Fuguleon along with Sapphires.
It was night and Caelum was performing exercises that circulate the energy through his body that refine his body and mind. He treated everything like cultivation since it was the easier way of both improving the mind and body. His steps flowed with little to no flaws swaying in ways that mesmerize any person watching.
He harmonizes his inhale with every exhale feeling his flesh aching from his movement and blood flowing through his body. Caelum's body perfectly balances the physical and spiritual aspect of himself that let him reach [ Middle Body Refining ]. The world he was in had been exposed to magic far too much and hadn't developed any physical martial art beside those who utilize their magic in close range battle like Mereoleona.
Caelum's body halted relaxing his muscle once more and ended his exercise staring at the moonlight while using his magic to rinse himself of sweat. Sapphire was on the side helping him by casting illusion around them as he was about to perform something eye-catching.
"Let's see if my theory was correct."
He flared his energy as Caelum's body started to change, emanating a dark miasmic red mist around him before runic tattoos seemingly appeared into his arms. Caelum aura turned into a corrupting evil that could cause immense fear to those who witnessed the change around him. Caelum focuses on controlling himself trying to grasp the new skill that he had recreated from scratch.
These skills would likely affect his soul in many ways but he aims to change and focus on maintaining himself from the little corruption. He opened his eyes revealing crimson red eyes glowing in the darkness before producing a lightning spell and grasping it turning his body into leaving lightning.
"I'm quite amazed that you pull through and recreate Magia Erebia from Negima."
Sapphire mentioned the Magia Erebia which is a spell that allows the user to take the property of another magical spell and absorb it into their body and soul. Normally it would corrupt the soul into turning someone ageless immortal but Caelum had revised it that is why the time was longer to make than the other skills he made.
He didn't have any references beside his imagination and took several trials and errors before completing the skill. Caelum's overall strength skyrocketed enough to move in lightning speed appearing like Luck Ultimate magic form. Caelum had been in pursuit of learning True and ultimate magic in black clover. Though [ True magic ] is only held by Nasuverse.
Regardless his appearance was like lightning god with Caelum hair growing longer and more wild. These cause him to be reminded of another person that could prove useful in recreating.
"It's nothing much without my [ Unlimited Potential ] and [Highest possible talent] then I won't be able to do it."
"Sure it helps but at the end of the day it's your effort to try and keep going that matters. You can't move without taking a step, right?"
Caelum chuckled since he still felt surreal about everything and felt undeserving considering his nothing but someone in the street even if he had a past life. That was not him and couldn't take credit for whatever he did.
His not stupid and knew their is reaosn why he was chosen but everytime Sapphire spoke always met with incomphesible words. Sapphire told him that getting stronger is the best way for him to learn the truth.
"You're right but still I can't help it."
"You'll eventually get over it. For now, I wish you good luck in your mission."
"Thanks, I'll be back before you know it."
He hugged her before kissing his forehead then let go as Caelum used [Shundo] accompanied by his lightning speed to vanish into air and ran through air using [Koku Shundō]. Caelum blinked in and out where none was able to sense him.
'Cereza can you show me a map if possible or the coordinates of where their hideouts are?'
[ Just head straight into the mountains then you'll soon find their headquarters. ]
Caelum nodded, rushing his way through the air enjoying the power of having the Magia Erebea. He didn't have to worry about running out of magical energy with his Magic circuits and Mana core to carefully convert the energy output. Without proper control then his mana would have run out as the power of lighting takes a large amount of magical energy.
He wasn't Luck and didn't have a grimoire that helps in converting mana into spells. On the other hand, his Mana core and Magic circuit was a lot better than grimoire as it was possible to grow stronger.
It didn't take long for him to arrive where within the mountains was a couple of guards blocking a single door. Caelum flipped in the air before leaping downward by kicking the air in the direction where the guards were unaware when he blinked and arrived at the center of them.
They didn't have time to progress what happened and instantly fell into the ground, easily being defeated by Caelum's blinding speed and technique. He exhaled then took those the guard's grimoires and sold them with the system while analyzing their magic to be added to his arsenal of skills.
One that's done, he spread his senses to perfectly perceive how many people were within their hideout. Caelum was able to accurately find how many and guess which are the assassin and those who are not.
'Can you buy me a mask, Cereza?'
[Buying mask…done. I've placed it in the inventory.]
He reached out and a mask appeared before his hand similar to rimiru's without the anti-magic property. Caelum wasn't planning on exposing his identity this early. Caelum put on the mask and dispel his lightning mode before erasing his presence. It was difficult for him to use stealth and lightning mode at the same time, furthermore he couldn't rush in since there's a possibility they are innocent inside.
Caelum calmly opened the door and sneaked inside, finding himself in a dark tunnel that was obviously made by someone who had some power. He found a few people heading inside and instantly knocked them out. It took him a few moments to arrive where the assassin kept children and other individuals in cages.
He was unfazed by it and only thought of how to help them escape while ignoring their beg to let them out. However, Caelum's gaze captured an innocent little girl and recalled Liliena and couldn't help but feel angered.
In that moment, he dispatched the guard and dispelled his stealth, causing the people to be surprised by his sudden appearances who quickly signed for them to stay quiet.
"W-Who are you?"
"You don't need to know that I am the one helping all of you escape if you carefully follow my instructions or else we all die."
Caelum said, making them nod since they couldn't let the opportunity to escape when they were close to being free. One by one, he opened their cages and used healing magic that he acquired from one of the assassins. It was enough to remove the pain and increase their natural healing along with removing any other ailment.
He had wasted enough Mana and gestures for them to follow while focusing his senses on any incoming individuals. It was unfortunate that there is only one exit that he knows therefore needed to be careful or else the people would be killed.
After a while, Caelum was lucky enough for them to escape safely without alarming anyone at the last second. The people were baffled when they witnessed a young kid defeating people with ease.
"All of you can go, I'll handle the assassin from here."
"You're going back? That's suicide!"
"I know what I'm doing, it's better for all of you to focus on your own than me. The best all of you could do for me is go and never look back."
He said while walking back his way into the assassin hideout but was called out by the people behind him. Caelum frowns since he's been wasting time and eager to fight his enemy.
"Can you at least tell us your name?"
"...Just call me Indra or whatever."
Caelum said on a whim and watched as the people nodded before descending from the mountains as he noticed that a large number of people were ascending to the exit. He sighed since he wanted to try fighting someone in close space as a challenge but this could work too.
There were roughly fifty people surrounding him with their grimoire glaring at him confusion and anger. In the middle of it, a man walked out presumably their leader looking at him curiously.
"Hey kid, are you the one who let those prisoners escape?"
The leader asked intently looking at Caelum who dozed off in his thoughts as he scratched his chin. Everyone was annoyed that they were taken lightly by some kid but kept himself from attack since their leader hadn't signaled them.
"Staying silent huh? I'm curious how a kid like yourself got inside without us knowing. Tell you what, why don't you join us and we can offer you anything you want."
"Boss, are you sure about this? He seems to be just some kid."
"A kid who wore a mask and made me feel on edge? I know what I'm doing."
The assassin was silent as the leader focused towards Caelum's direction who finished thinking at them as he flared his Mana releasing a dense amount of energy that shocked them. They witness him producing seemingly an ice magic despite the lack of grimoire and try to attack by bombarding him with their magic.
The leader was in rage that they killed something that could have been useful if groomed properly but sigh since it was already too late. A cloud of dust formed after their attacks and was confident that no one would be able to survive that.
"Haa…how disappointing. Oh well, you'll try to find those people who have escaped."
They nodded before a sudden pressure went into them and turned to look at the dust cloud and witnessed bluish glow and witnessed the young boy was unharmed, exhaling a puff of fog as the temperature dropped. His hair remained short yet had turned white while the air around him seemed to instantly froze and hovering blades form behind him.
'I shouldn't be surprised but it is shocking that this actually works flawlessly than I intended.'
He had used Magia Erebia to turn his body into ice elemental that acted similar to silver aura from ragna crimson. This power doesn't freeze things but every single thing from Mana to physical body. It was slower than [ Lightning God Form: Indra ] but was versatile when fighting large groups.
"Let's call this [ Silver Armament ]."
Caelum said before focusing his attention towards his enemy who was quivering in both fear and the coldness of the surroundings. He took a stance while grasping one of the blades smirking under his mask.
