章節 239: What actually went down!
After having breakfast, I gathered everyone involved in this mess. Me, Hazel, Aura, Fay, Gwen, Samantha, Aera and Aegis are here in this room that I modified again.
The others are busy. It seems that a new baby brings a lot of responsibilities as well. Eden is watching over my sister and learning. Nora is accompanying her. I wanted her to feel the familial bond.
My dependents are in my singularity, training or just working on their own.
I took a look in the mirror. I look like a dead man. All shriveled up like I was sucked dry.
"So, what actually happened that night? I remember what you all started but I lost consciousness midway through. So happened after that?"
Fay sighs. Why is she sighing? And Gwen is blushing. That's a rare sight. The Gwen, who is usually straightforward and kinda rash like me, is actually blushing. Gives a new sense of humor.
"You rammed all of us. You did know that it was our first time. So why were you so rough with all of us?" (Fay)
It took me a minute to register this in my memory. I did the deed? I was putting that off until I was done saving Samantha.
"It all changed the moment she appeared." (Hazel)
Hazel looks at Samantha as she said that. Aura is giggling like she is actually enjoying this prickly situation.
"You were so intense, honey. I was sure that you were trying to get us all pregnant at the same time." (Aura)
"I am sorry that I did that to all of you. That explains the pain in my body. It's lower back pain that's spreading through my body."
If the pain is this persistent for me, what did they go through?
As if she read my mind, Fay answered my question.
"We couldn't move for two days. Even now our back hurts. Walking is painful too." (Fay)
"Why didn't you all heal yourselves?"
If it's hurting, why didn't they just heal?
"Well, it is the first time you actually embraced all of us. I didn't want to forget that pain. They also had the same opinion." (Aura)
"Besides, you sure were sadistic, master. Is that your true nature?" (Hazel)
"I don't know. But why are blushing so much, Gwen?"
She hasn't said a word and is beet red.
But she turned the other way and hid her face with her hands. I can see smoke coming from her head.
"She was expecting a romantic lovely moment with you. But it ended becoming an orgy." (Fay)
So her first time was ruined because of me.
"Gwen, let's redo it once we are healed up. We can take your ideas this time."
She doesn't look my way but nods in affirmation. I have to make it up to her for this blunder.
"Samantha, did this happen to you as well?"
"Yeah. I didn't think you would pounce on me the moment I appeared. You didn't even let me prepare myself mentally." (Samantha)
"Sorry. I guess I have crossed that one line that I had drawn."
"You didn't have to draw a line between us anyway." (Hazel)
"No, I had to. Because achieving that early would just spoil me. It's a shame that I don't remember it."
"You can check the logs later. You will shocked by your own deeds." (Samantha)
She snickered. Now then, let's catch the elephant in the room.
"With that done, Samantha, why are you here? Explain it."
"Fine. Because the future depends on your actions. You need to know exactly how everything happened."
And so it began, the story of how her wedding got cancelled.
(Samantha past POV)
Things are getting more and more complicated. With my foolish brother being banished from home, I have to move carefully. Mother will not help me. She can not help me.
I guess she just loves father that much that it makes her judgment clouded. I think I am similar as well. Now then, Clive was here but I think he isn't anymore.
Then I will have to pretend to be over him and accept the marriage. Father will be suspicious of me but I can only try.
Time is different for us. I should search for Clive first. He is headed towards Primis Societas. Then I will have some time as well. The earliest my wedding can take place is in five days.
That would give Clive full 24 days of time. He can prepare for that much time.
Then, let's begin. And I worked my discreetly. I fixed my room. Made myself look good again. Had a brief conversation with father. He is happy that I have finally gotten over Clive.
For the next two days, I meet with a lot of people. Everyone is trying to flatter me since this is a big event. If they can get on my good side, they can accomplish many things or so they expect.
My foolish brother is keeping me updated. Everything was going well. Until that particular incident.
Two days are left before the wedding ceremony. Everyone is gathered at one place.
For the final preparations, both families have gathered. Of course my brother is missing since he was banished. I am sitting next to my future husband.
I won't bother telling his name. But he is older than me. By a big margin and not a very good person.
That's all. I won't badmouth him but he is of questionable origin. His behavior is rude and dubious and his lust for women knows no bounds.
Even sitting next to him is hard enough for me and he is licking me with his gaze. I endure that since I can't act too rashly.
Both family heads gave a speech and we were about to start our dinner when the sirens went off.
It's a siren I have never heard before.
But my father went pale. This is the first time I have seen my father scared.
Everyone else is confused but father rushed to the castle gate. We ran after him.
I saw a man walking towards the castle. He is a normal looking man who gives off a relaxed vibe.
But my father bowed his head before him and lead him inside. Everyone followed him and we went to the throne room.
Then he was made to sit on the throne while my father, the actual king of this nation, sat on the ground and told all of us kneel before him.
Everything is happening so fast that I don't even know anymore.
"It's overkill. I was passing by when I remembered that I don't know the way. Can you tell me where the court is?"
The guy asked. What's the court?
"Your excellency, I can escort you to the court if you do not mind."
My father sounds so polite that I an having troubles recognizing him.
"I seem to have bothered you while you were having dinner. Sorry for that."
He gave us an apology and slightly bowed his head. He seems a nice person. But there's something unusual about him. I can't sense his presence. Like he doesn't even exist but I can see him.
Everything was going well but my fiancé had to butt in.
"You fool, you dare barge in our dinner? And who are you? Why is the mighty hero bowing down before you?"
With impertinence in his voice, he questioned the man. Before he could say anything, his head rolled down his neck.
My father be headed him.
His father was so shocked that he fainted.
"Please forgive his rudeness, your excellency. Do not wipe out our world!"
Father groveled before him like everything depends on it.
"I wasn't going to. I have been away for a long time. It's natural that kids nowadays don't know me. But, wasn't he your future son-in-law?"
"I can find someone else to marry my daughter."
"Then how about Clive? He comes up a lot in our discussion when we gather for meetings."
This man knows Clive?
"But…he is from a lower world!"
"You can just have him fix the current anomalies with the system. After that, he will be qualified enough to sit on the throne. A lot of us suggested that as well."
This development is out of my comprehension and in the end, my father agreed to his proposal.
After her story is done, I am flabbergasted. Something like that happened?
"So, what is this fixing the system?"
"That would be you traveling throughout this system and defeating abnormalities. Father will explain it to you later." (Samantha)
So, something crazy happened and I am being dragged into more troubles.
