First, the unpleasant personality of Gilgamesh, and now this. No doubt this world was quite strange. But Toru decided not to give so much importance to the biology of his enemy. Whether they are men, women or monsters. For him, everyone is an enemy who must be annihilated.
'And she still with that wound on her hand wants to fight'
Toru didn't know the difference between chivalry and stupidity.
'Even though I'm no different'
Despite his fatal injuries in the Fourth World War, Toru continued to fight without caring about that. So he didn't have the right to criticize the stupidity of others.
"The three classes of knight are something..."
Saber, Lancer and Archer. The three knights of this war. They unconsciously felt a certain rivalry just by looking into each other's eyes. Toru, being part of the cavalry servants, Assassin, couldn't understand this just by looking at him.
Just before Saber strikes again, a bright blue lightning fell from high in the sky and the breaths of two divine animals echoed along with the electricity. A man's laughter echoed the moment a war carriage descended from above interposing itself between Saber and Lancer.
"Put away your weapons, for you are in the presence of a king!"
That man in the carriage raised his arms and smiled.
"I am Iskandar, the King of Conquerors. He participated in this war under the Rider class"
Behind Rider, Waver looked at his Servant with rolling eyes.
'This is getting weirder and weirder...'
Toru felt that he had to leave here immediately. Three servants is too much for him alone. It was fine before because it was just Lancer and Saber, but with Rider's sudden intrusion, Toru's plans to kill the survivor of the fight went down the drain.
'King of the Conquerors, eh... If I remember correctly his name is Alexander the Great'
The former king of Macedonia appeared in front of everyone and started saying stupid things like playing a Lancer and Knowing part of his army and treating them as his friends. Obviously Toru witnessed how these two Servants flatly refused.
'Meeting various historical figures in this way...'
Nothing was more surreal than this. The King of Heroes is an asshole. The King of Knights is a girl and the King of Conquerors is a clown…
'Well... I didn't live in the era of each of these characters so I really shouldn't complain. At the end of the day, they are my goals'
Thinking about this made Toru miss an important part of this whole scene. The Master of Lancer recognized the boy who was next to Rider. This same one, keeping hidden, said some things that made Waver lose the will to continue, but that's what Rider was for. He took it upon himself to answer to whoever is hiding behind the shadows. In short, unlike Waver, Master de Lancer is a coward who never dared to face danger.
"Right now, everyone who is hidden, show your face!!! Or will they continue to hide cowardly?!"
Toru frowned at this. It's not that he wants to stay hidden, but because his stats are extremely pitiful, he had no choice but to hide and attack from behind.
'If I could only use senjutsu, everything would be different'
It's all because his Master is quite pitiful in the field of magic. If Toru had been summoned by an expert Magus, his parameters wouldn't be so pathetic.
"In a single night two insolent ruffians dare to call themselves kings in my presence"
A voice was suddenly heard. On one of the lanterns that illuminated the scene, golden flashes flickered and formed the body of a golden being. His blood-red eyes looked scornfully at the pathetic dogs below him. Archer made an appearance after such an insult by the one who called himself King of the Conquerors.
"You're wrong"
Rider said.
"I am Iskandar, the King of the conquerors"
"Blasphemies!"
Archer snorted.
"The only peerless king of heaven and earth here is me. Anyone else who calls himself a king is nothing more than a stupid dog chasing his own tail demonstrating his infinite stupidity."
'Damn... now Archer too...'
Many servants gathered in one place. This couldn't be worse. Toru only continued to watch silently after thinking about that. Although he also thought about possible escape routes in case his location is revealed.
"Then why don't you reveal your name to us? No true king would be ashamed of his own name!"
Said Rider challenging the mysterious Servant. Archer just looked at him disdainfully and a bright light flashed behind his back.
"Do you doubt me, dog?!"
The lantern under Archer's feet flickered.
"Are you doubting the King?!!"
And the strength of his feet broke the light of the lantern. This humiliation was to be punished with blood. However, before attacking, Assassin entered his field of vision, who was still watching everything from the shadows.
'It's true. The jester's job is to be humiliated. A king doesn't have to put up with this nonsense'
Before killing Rider, Archer smiled. In order to diminish his humiliation and become a true king, he must first humiliate someone even more…
"And you..."
He smiled and looked at the highest and farthest place.
"Are you going to keep hiding in your burrow, jester?"
Saber and Lancer didn't understand what Archer was referring to. However, when they realized that he was looking at a specific place, out of sheer inertia they also looked.
At the top, Toru opened his eyes when he felt everyone's gazes on him.
'Archer... bastard...'
They were supposed to be a team in this war. Archer practically sold out Assassin in order not to be humiliated.
"Rider... that's Assassin..."
Waver trembled and clung to his Servant's cloak. In response, Rider looked seriously at the Servant who was still hidden.
'Was Assassin here too?'
For her part, Irisviel prepared herself and made sure to be in Saber's field of vision, but also to stay far enough away from the other Servants.
'Damn... how am I supposed to escape if everyone already knows where I am?'
After watching the fight of Saber and Lancer, seeing that light behind Archer from which swords began to come out... everything went to hell.
'I mustn't get upset. I must think. If I manage to make my move right, then I won't lose'
Taking a leap in the air, an air platform formed behind Toru. He rested his feet there and flexed his legs.
"I must not stay here long. I have to run away, but I won't leave without doing something."
He held the daggers in front of his face crossing his arms and with his eyes shining. Everyone got ready and then…
Boom! With a loud jump that seemed to have made the air explode, Toru disappeared in a second reappearing on the east side of the harbor. Once there, he saw his target with the Shigan and made another jump.
No one knew what Assassin was doing, but the speed at which he moved was not normal. Archer smiled in response, as this buffoon's performance managed to calm his anger.
But on the other hand…
"Saber!!"
Lancer shouted. Saber looked to the left and Toru appeared there charging an attack with the daggers. She quickly raised the sword to defend herself, but her left hand missed and her sword decayed towards that same direction, leaving an opening on the right side of her defense. Assassin took advantage of this and raised the left dagger to kill her, but immediately Lancer appeared in front of Saber.
Clang!
"You are a coward..."
Archer looked at Toru's eyes. He replied:
"I do whatever it takes to win. I don't care if they call me a coward"
"You had to be an assassin..."
Lancer frowned as he struggled with Assassin. However, Assassin jumped back and moved at high speeds again aiming at Saber. This time Lancer couldn't turn around in time, but that didn't matter.
"Maybe I should thank you, Lancer"
Saber managed to raise her guard and block Assassin's attack.
"Good evening, Ojou-sama"
Toru said. He stepped on the air forcefully and moved back to Saber's side, just the side where she was hurt. Saber was not going to allow herself to die at this moment, so, despite having the tendon of her left hand cut, she raised the sword again with passion and blocked both daggers, which bounced against her sword.
Taking advantage of the fact that Assassin backed off a bit because of that, Saber raised her sword aloft.
"It's my turn!"
It seemed that Assassin would be cut in half, but this one again jumped into the air and appeared behind Saber. Assassin's eyes glowed in the darkness of his hood and Saber could see that once she turned around to stop him.
'Mystical Eyes...'
Clang! The daggers collided with the sword once more. Rider was surprised. He never expected an Assassin to be able to fight like this.
"However, his every move is that of a cheater..."
"What?"
Waver was confused, but Rider knew what he was talking about. Assassin only attacks the enemy's back and the wound. He's basically using a single point of attack and overexploiting it until the target gives way and takes the damage from the daggers.
…
…
"You are very skilled..."
Saber, as a knight that she is, recognized the strengths of her enemy, but Toru, as the Assassin that he is, ignored the compliments of this girl and decided that he should finish this now, because a few more seconds and Lancer will stop thinking and start attacking.
"Dansu gyakusatsu..."
The X in his eyes gave a single rotation and adjusted to start reading Saber's movements. He created another air platform under his feet and jumped again. Teleporting up from Saber, Toru let out a sigh and Lancer realized that this was not child's play.
Lancer prepared to protect Saber, but when he was going to approach her, a large wind wave pushed him. Toru swooped against Saber after that.
She prepared her sword and blocked Assassin's attack. However, a thousandth of a second after doing this, he reappeared behind her. Saber immediately turned around and blocked the attack again. But this was not the end of the attack, because Assassin began to do the same thing faster and faster.
Jumping in the air. From the back, from above, from the left and also from the right, terrifyingly fast attacks of two daggers collided with the Saber's sword. Because of this guy's speed and the wound she has on her hand, Saber started to feel overwhelmed.
'This is bad. He's not just any assassin"
Saber deduced this as she kept trying to keep the daggers from hitting her.
'However, I still have my armor. With this he will not be able to cause me fatal injuries'
Saber's mistake was thinking that her armor would protect her from Assassin daggers. She herself saw how Assassin's eyes danced looking at the whole stage. There was something wrong with those eyes. She recognized the color of those eyes and quickly knew that she was facing a superior-eyed user.
'I got you!'
Toru opened his eyes and saw the opening on Saber's right side. He moved his right dagger at the speed of sound and although he could only graze this girl's armor, that was enough, for…
'What the-'
Her magic armor disappeared and her eyes widened in shock. For a moment she was distracted and Assassin took advantage of this to use his maximum speed. Regenerating the armor will cost time and that is something that Saber does not have at the moment.
Saber covered himself with the quick movements of his sword, but it was too late. The cuts from the daggers began to come and tear her clothes.
'Those eyes... what are they?!!'
She thought desperately. Although Assassin's daggers only touched her armor, it disappeared as if…
'My armor disappeared... as if that had died...?'
Although it was a hasty conclusion, it was enough for her to realize how dangerous this Assassin is. She held the sword with all her might and frowned. Assassin's constant attacks were starting to hurt her and this was too bad.
'She is very fast and has a good defense despite being injured. Every time I try to cut one of her deathlines, either she manages to dodge it and take the damage in a place where there are no deathlines, or she blocks it with the sword. It's impressive. It even seems that she dodges me out of pure instinct'
But that wasn't going to last too long. Saber was getting weaker and weaker. She will definitely die.
Clang! Assassin paused for a moment as he saw that Lancer was finally able to get between him and Saber. Now he had to face two enemies who joined forces as soon as they were close. Toru stepped back and held both daggers while furtively looking at Saber and Lancer.
"You ruined my chance..."
He said. And Lancer answered him with a defiant smile.
"I'm sorry to tell you this, Assassin, but Saber is already mine. I will not allow you to take away the opportunity to defeat her on my own merits."
Toru raised his eyebrows a little confused. He looked at the place and noticed that Archer was looking at him as if he was having fun, while Waver and Rider kept watching in silence.
"You are annoying"
Lancer let out a little giggle.
"That's something I should tell you. Taking advantage of someone who is hurt is pretty disgusting. This is how far you've come, Assassin."
"Be careful. Those eyes are dangerous."
Saber said, to which Lancer only replied:
"I know. I realized it earlier."
Lancer went on the attack after confirming it and Saber played along. First, using both spears, Lancer tried to stab Assassin, but this dodged each of the attacks masterfully. Behind Lancer, Saber used her sword to combine the attacks with Lancer and thus finish off the quick killer, but it was more of the same. Assassin dodged everything as quite naturally, as if it were flowing water, he moved between the weapons without being injured.
'Good. I can handle this. It's time for me to retire."
Toru stepped on the ground and used the same tactic as before, only something changed. A second after he had started, he jumped backwards and put away one of the daggers. Thereupon, he raised his hand making a manual seal and squinted.
"It's a pity they didn't notice."
Hearing that, Lancer looked at Saber and noticed that she had strange paper seals stuck on some vital parts of her body. His eyes widened in shock and before he could help it…
"Die..."
BOOM! The seals detonated and exploded next to Saber.
