章節 9: Chapter 9: Beyond Temptation

Artemis' POV

"Follow me," Beck orders as he starts moving, closely followed by his pack.

I can feel the presence of other wolves hidden in the shadows.

Beck leads us all through a maze of dark corridors. The pack breaks off as we reach a large room through which several stairways and corridors circulate.

"Artemis, we'll talk alone before I introduce you to the rest of the pack," Beck says without hesitation.

Willow, only a few steps ahead of him, turns and looks at him with a raised eyebrow, but Beck's look and makes her understand immediately that the Alpha will accept no arguments.

"Well." It’s all I say in response as I follow him.

"You can't kill him now,” Sky says inside my head.

I growl back in response. "Shall we bet?" I challenge her.

Beck turns to look at me, as if he knows I'm having an internal dialogue with Sky.

"This way," he says, and he ushers me into a small, sparsely furnished room overlooking the city.
