Emily's POV

When I finally made it back to Waylen, he was in his bedroom in front of a huge mirror and he was adjusting his shirt.

 The twins were in the crib by the window and he was struggling to put on his cufflinks.

I watched him from the door I stood at and he must have seen me from the mirror because he turned around and looked at me.

"Wooh! What happened to your face?" He came closer and watched my face like he was a bounty hunter looking for a clue.

"I ran into Zuri" 

"Oh boy…it went that bad, huh?" Then his eyes narrowed like he was getting ready to be pissed. "Wait, did he hurt you?"

"Actually, worse…he told me he loves me" 

Waylen backed away and rubbed his jaw.

"Was he drunk?"

"No" I answered. I understood his skepticism.

"Was he high on drugs? I know he is king but who doesn't love a good sniff every now and then"
