It seemed too absurd to be true, but Fein couldn't deny the strange feeling in his gut that told him otherwise. He couldn't shake off the fact that he had no memory of his past, unlike Niki who claimed to have some memories of their previous life.

Fein's confusion was evident on his face as he asked Niki, "But why don't I have any memories then? If we're both fragments of the same being, shouldn't I have memories too?"

Niki frowned, clearly taken aback by the question. "I don't know," he admitted. "I never thought about it. Maybe it's because we're not complete clones. There might be some differences in our makeup that caused you to lose your memories."
