"I'm afraid so, anything else would be too dangerous for us to attempt. If this happened in a higher city then things would have been different..." Doctor Cormick replied with a tinge of regret behind his words.

"I understand, I suppose he's just a bit unlucky in that regard. I do feel sympathetic for the boy, living with just one arm from such a young age won't be easy." 

"True, he's going to have to take some time to adjust but luckily he isn't doomed to such a fate permanently, if he can visit a healer in the higher cities someday then he could have his arm regrown, though it will cost a fortune."

It was well known how expensive it was to see a healer in the higher cities, even for those who were considered wealthy in city 4.
