Kendis' POV
Thud Thud Thud
What the heck-
I woke up scared from the loud bangs on my door. It was still too early for someone to be here. Grabbing on a tee, I went on to check the door. The loud thuds weren't dying anytime soon.
"What?" I snapped but was shocked to see Andrew with a bunch of bodyguards.
"Stay back!" He declared unhappily.
And before I could argue or question, the bodyguards pushed the door open; storming inside my house like crazy.
"Hey! Hey! Stop! The fuck do you think you are doin– ahhhh!" Without explanation, I was pulled to one side by Andrew, carelessly.
"Get ready, we're leaving." He said and my eyes popped out.
"What? You can't just decide that on your own!" I refuted and he clicked his tongue in a boring manner.
"Look, you need not stay here. We are taking you to Liam's property." He added and it irked me hearing that jerk's name.
Say that again! Didn't he say he wouldn't ever need me.
"Ah! As if. I wouldn't move unless Mr. Brown himself asks me to do that." Gaining an upper hand, I smirked and tried to seize this very good opportunity.
Finally the stubbornness comes to sense!
Hehe…
"Tsk!"
Surprisingly, I was thrown over Andrew's shoulder as I shrieked in fear of this sudden movement.
"The Young Master doesn't have time to waste." He muttered while I tried to get myself free.
Not until I was pushed inside his car and accompanied by him did my mind stop reeling.
"Are you insane?" I shouted at him.
Furious, I could even kill him. How dare he touch me?
"Driver, head to the North unit." Andrew ignored me completely, adding fuel to my fire of vengeance.
Huffing, I shut my eyes and tried to ignore him as well.
"Hey, where's the ring?" He questioned after a while.
I ignored and pretended to sleep; somewhere in between.
"Where's the ring, sluggish woman?" He asked, shoving my shoulders.
Urghhh.
Irritated, I glared at him.
"Who do you think you're calling a sluggish woman?" I demanded and saw him amusingly raise an eyebrow at me.
"Clearly the only woman is you. Unless you doubt it…" He deliberately scratched his invisible cheek; frustrating me more.
Man! I can't stand him.
"Shut up!" I shouted and turned away, adamant not to address the ring issue.
Soon we were back at the castle-like house. I hated that it looked pretty even in the morning.
Before they could say another word, I immediately unlocked the door manually and rushed outside. The feeling of strolling towards the main building in night pyjamas felt embarrassing; especially when the staff working here was better dressed than me.
"Kendis!"
Neglecting Andrew's warning tone, I was already headed inside but stopped when Liam descended down the stairs; eyeing me with shock.
"What the hell is that?" He pointed at my outfil in fear.
I hated how high class he acted.
Regardless of what he was; he had no right. My fists clenched to my sides and I was about to give him some piece of my mind when suddenly I noticed a huge line a few feets away.
"Um… Morning Mrs. Brown." The startled staff of this household was present, worried and confused.
Considering the situation, I guess they are here to welcome me. Unfortunately, they never dreamt to witness the Lady of the house in mere average-pyjamas and tangled hairs.
"Ah!" My mouth fell open in shame.
"Morning people! Please don't mind me!" I smiled brightly; my face flushed as I noticed a few of them blushing and smiling back.
"I am Halen; the head of the household department." The middle aged lady introduced me and I nodded.
"Halen, clean her up first!" Liam said in a disgusted voice that irked me.
"By the way, where is your ring?" Andrew demanded coming back.
I was done with their behaviors and turned in a blinding speed; lurching myself on Andrew, going for his neck.
"That's it!"
Unfortunately, he grabbed my arm and swirled me around; caging me in his arms.
"The. Ring." He demanded as I gave up, tasting the defeat.
"Everyone!" Halen demanded and they scurried off.
"Ms. Halen. Please clean her up first." Just as I thought I couldn't handle it anymore; Liam proved me wrong.
Ughhh! I sobbed inwardly…
"Shut up!!!" I mumbled and ran upstairs, brushing against him; blindly.
I could relate myself with the heroines who ran up to their bedrooms. But I wasn't any heroine and my dearest husband reminded me when–
My involuntary action was forcefully stopped by his hard grip on my arms.
Crashing into him, I glared but that evil man kept me at a distance, safely; scrunching up his nose. Making me feel even smaller in his presence.
"Where are you running to? Your room isn't at this side." He mumbled and I was crying loudly inside.
Annoyinnngggg…
"I know!" I snapped at him, avoiding his wide eyes.
"Okay?" he hummed challengingly.
Jerking my arm out of his snake like grip, I adjusted my top and took deep breaths before embarrassing myself further.
"Wh-where is it?" I mumbled under my breath, ignoring his taunting snort.
"What? I can't hear you." He acted foolishly, irking me more.
"Where is it?" I demanded with arms crossed over my bust.
"Oh, are your senses back?" He asked and as much as I wanted to hit him, he looked charming like a college student.
"Fine!" I murmured and went to sit on the uppermost stair; uncaringly.
"Hey, what are you doing? Get ready fast. My parents will be here soon." He called but I ignored him.
"Like I care." I snapped back adamantly.
"You sure do!" Liam threatened, coming beside me,
"No, I don't." I argued but my argument was cut short when I met his angered eyes.
"You realize that you're a defaulter of my firm?" His question made me want to…
Urgh!!!
Searching around in agitation under his scrutiny, I gripped onto the railing and went to smash my head.
God swear, I haven't been so out of control ever before! This guy is unbearable!
Moreover, I was tired hearing the same thing from my uncle and now Liam, even though we haven't done anything wrong.
"Hey, what are you do–" Liam's words cut short with the dull hum of his voice.
I gasped and pulled my head away to see the unexpected thing.
"LIAM!" Andrew's voice and the staff's gasp were clear as they rushed towards him.
Meanwhile, I could only stare at him in bewilderment as he endured the terrible pain from my stupidity.
"Lunatic! Why were you about to ambush your forehead?" Andrew scolded me, letting the staff handle Liam's hand.
However, I stared sheepishly in guilt as Liam's eyes were clouded with rage.
"Who asked you to… put your palm in between? Now don't keep it in. Let the scream out." I said but was about to be attacked by Andrew when Liam dismissed him.
"Take her to the bathroom please. I can't stand her face right now." Liam's voice held so much contempt that stunned me.
Nonetheless, I glared back at him and let Halen guide me through the rooms.
All he cares about is my appearance! Snob!
