“Nor do I,” he agreed. He looked between Rudolf and Kaifin, before quietly adding, “Heiko said-”
“The prince,” Kaifin sharply interjected the correction.
Cele cocked a brow.
“Is now really the time?”
“Let him speak,” Rudolf sighed, waving a dismissive hand at Kaifin.
Because he could be so petty, the general began again with, “Heiko said that this clan wasn’t friends with Simo. That means they wouldn’t be friends with the House Carmodeigh either.”
“Simo, they said, not Achterect’s.” Rudolf crossed his arms over his chest thoughtfully. “The current Simo supports the Senate of Burke, which does not necessarily reflect what the Achterecht’s support. If that’s the case, this clan might’ve approved of the old Burkean monarchy, before they were overthrown.”
