The creature climbed down from the ledge and approached Delina, but when he turned on his side and the light from the window bathed his face, despite the scaly skin, horns, and red eyes, Delina could make out very well who it was.

"Edgar!" She spoke and threw herself into his arms as her body relaxed as she recognized the man.

Edgar, in turn, was petrified. He didn't expect Delina to actually want to hug him. He knew it was extremely risky to show himself that way to her. He thought she would be sleeping and not waking up immediately, giving him time to revert to his more human form.

"Delina…" His voice sounded huskier and deeper than it normally was. Delina didn't care, because she knew that this was Edgar, it didn't matter at all how he presented himself to her.

"I missed you so much!" She said and kissed his lips, once again taking Edgar by surprise. But this time, he reacted. With his arms around her waist, he pulled her to him.
