章節 5: The merging

"Did I tell you to kill the man?" I shouted.
My men came back with their feedbacks. I knew there was goi6to be fight but I didn't expect them to kill the leader. He is my own to kill not theirs. That man was one of the people who made me suffer.
"Sir he wanted to kill me" he said with his head bowed.
I couldn't get too angry because I was the one who said that they should spare anyone that attempt to kill them but I wanted that man. He shouldn't die like a chicken. I was glaring at Moi.
"I'm really sorry Alpha. I didn't know I shouldn't kill him" Moi apologized.
I could remember when I found Moi. He has been the one standing beside me like my beta. That year when I saw Moi, I was just heading to my tenth year. I didn't even half my wolf. I was wondering around like I've been doing for the past two years. Then I got to Moi's pack. I had begged a woman for food.
I know you would be wondering why I didn't settle in a pack. Yes I didn't want a pack to claim me. I don't want to swear my oath to any alpha. I want to gather my own pack. I had walked to their very hungry and exhausted. Moi was there when I ask asking for food. The woman refused to give me food but Moi took me and gave me food. He accommodate me in his house for days before start started out for my unknown journey. I told him all my story but not my plan. He told me he was going to stand by me and help me in whatever plans I have. He fulfilled all his promises to me. He even gave me lot of money that would help sustain me.
Moi didn't allow his alpha to treat me like a rogue. He maid sure I left the pack without any troubles.
"What else happened?" I asked them.
"We brought the alpha's daughter" Moi replied.
I frowned. " And why is that?"
I didn't see any usefulness in them bringing her. It's not as if I want to use her as a bait or something.
"We didn't know what to do with her. We actually didn't know if you would want us to do anything to her since she found out that I'm not you. Your warning that we shouldn't hurt women made us think of bringing her" he explained.
In it explanation, it was vivid that he was scared that I would get angry. I wasn't in the mood to get angry. I was about the greatest in the whole of the werewolf kingdom. The Pine pack are coming to join my Pack. They are coming to swear their fealty to me.
Preparations were going all around for them to be here. The party is a night party and we all know it's going to be a very long one.
"Why bring her? She's useless" I said nonchalantly.
" What should be do to her sir?" Moi asked.
" Just let her be. I'll think about her after the whole ceremony" I said.
" Yes sir" Moi bowed and left.
I wouldn't lie about not getting excited about this added value. I know this wealth will help me destroy my enemies like they are nothing.
"Alpha your clothes is ready" my house keeper said.
I looked at her. Zin, was also part of the people who voluntarily followed me without requesting for anything. She's way younger that I am but I like her because she's hardworking. She's the one that takes care of most of my things. Well I wouldn't lie that she hasn't satisfy my desires for a couple of times. She was always glad to do it and sometimes I feel guilty because I knew I can't marry her.
I followed Zin to my room and she pointed at the clothes she put down for me.
"I don't know what you would love so I made all these" she said with a smile.
Zin is a seamstress and she's good at what she's doing. I didn't even bother to check the clothes I know they would be good. She has been with me almost sixty years now. I didn't let anyone get close to me but that doesn't me I don't talk with them at times.
"What color do you want me to wear?" I asked her. My tone not to friendly but not harsh at all.
"I think you should go for the grey".
"Hmm" I said and left without another word. I need to recheck the contract I will hand over to them.
Jessy
I woke up slowly. Looking around me. The room I am was spacious but there was nothing aside a big bed. Not even a chair and table was in sight. I Stood up and ran to the door but it was locked. I shouted at the top of my voice but it seem like none heard me. I looked at myself and I discovered that I was putting on a cloth that wasn't mine. I almost fainted with shame because I was in my wolf form when I saw those guys and them capturing me means that they saw my nakedness. This almost got me crying. I love my body and I don't like it to be seen by anyone.
Now I have the time to mourn my father. I began to cry. The demon alpha have destroyed my family and now he is holding me captive. I'll sure get my revenge. Everywhere is dark and I couldn't see outside.
I start thinking how things will be going in my family. My brother will take up the alpha position all of a sudden. I wonder how the pack will be. I know my brother would have sent search parties to look for me. I don't even know where I am.
I then start to hear sound of music. This music got me so angry.
"Those idiots are rejoicing over my pain" I groaned.
I begin to search for loophole where I can use for my escape. I searched and searched but the room was tightly locked. No where even to hide.
"Demon alpha, I'll get my revenge. I'll make sure I ruin everything you've built for hundreds of years. I'll make sure your family suffer like mine" I sworn.
Rage was flying out through me. Then I thought of how to make this people pay. Looking up, I saw a lamp. Then an idea came to my mind. I tore the part of my dress, set it on fire. I put one by the window and the other under the door. I knew this will attract them.
It didn't reach up to a minute before I heard foot steps running towards the room. The room was opened and I saw one of the men that captured me. I jumped on them and began to fight. They might be strong but I'm an angry alpha wolf. I was dealing with them until one came and got me so had that I almost pass out with pain. I didn't want to cry out but I couldn't help groaning in pain.
Looking at the one that hit me, I knew he was the demon alpha himself.

The ceremony has started. Today is the day the pine pack will come pledge their fealty. They've arrived like an hour ago but I've not seen them. Nonetheless I didn't leave them unattended to. I let the men under me go attend to them and according to their report they were well attended to.
I was kind of nervous if this decision I'm making is the right one. There is no pack that has outrightly want to join mine in such numbers. All the men I've got came alone. Some are rogues and some are not. So this new decision of mine got me thinking and nervous.
I've done all I could to make them quit but they were so determined to make me their alpha. I scared them but they wouldn't bulge. I know they were happy to do what they are doing since I could here meeting voices outside. Drums and singing were blasting everywhere. I even heard each family came bearing gifts for the alpha. I wasn't surprised at their generousity been that their alpha was a very kind hearted man just like my papa.
"Alpha, your people awaits you" Moi came to tell me.
" Get that and follow me" I pointed to the contact on the table.
It was written by me and is going to be signed by the pack's beta and I.
Getting outside, I was crowd. I wasn't expecting to see so much crowd since their beta told me that most of them has been killed by the disease.
"How come the reminants are still these large in number?" I asked myself.
There wasn't a reply for me and I expected that since I didn't tell it to anyone. I saw my chair standing gracefully at the stage where I do address every of the pack members. Looking at the magnificent masterpiece, I was proud of my crafty ability. Ever since I planned to have a large pack, I was already imagining my seat and I made out this glorious one. The stones were glowing and it gave it so much beauty and even the place it was standing.
Everyone rose to their feet when they saw me approach my chair. Deafening silence accompanyed it. Even when I was seated no one sat down. I then told them to so I could see everyone. I didn't even waste time, I went straight to the reason of the gathering.
"I welcome all pine pack to sceptre pack. Before the becoming a permanent sceptre pack members, I have few things to say" I paused so as to know if they were ready to listen.
The pine pack's stood up and bowed their heads. Since there were sitting at a position, I don't need for them to stand up.
"You can have your sit. Just make sure your eyes is on me" I told them.
And they obeyed quickly.
" Like I said, I have few things to say before the merging. I want you all to understand something. I'm not in anyway forcing this union. You all sent your beta to me voluntarily. So I wouldn't owe anyone who think this union wouldn't pay him or his family to ransom. You are free to opt-out both individually or as a family. It is your choice. I've told you beta that if you ha d any inheritance in your pack, you are free to claim it. I'll gladly give you everything. It's worth in money or diamonds, as you want it. Come plain before you take this path that will bound us together for life".
Their beta told me he did this already before planning this ceremony but I was doing this again because I wanted to be free of blame. I waited for them to stand up or step forward but none did and that didn't make me happy. I didn't think there wasn't anyone who would love their pack so much and wouldn't want to join another especially when I'm the demon alpha that they all fear.
"You and I are both aware that I'm been called the demon alpha. It's the truth. I can be a demon to anyone who inconvenient me and a normal mango anyone that gives me peace. It is your choice to chose. I will give you few minutes to think about this fealty you are about to swear because I can brutally end your lives if you go against me and my pack. I don't show a bit of clemency when it comes to betrayal, not even to my pack members. I'm the monster I'm been called and discribed.
I made sure that I was saying all these in my alpha's voice so that they would know that it isn't a threat but the reality of what I can do.
"I'm giving you another change to leave. So if you want to, you are free. I give you my word. If you don't trespass you won't be touched by my pack" I repeated.
None of them stood up or make any attempt to leave. Now I know that every of my actions towards them will be justified. Just as I was about to continue, a pup walked towards me. I wondered what she wanted.
My men seeing this ran to stop her from approaching. My men don't know pup when it comes to harm. They believe anyone can harm. The parent of the pup ran forward to but I stopped them.
"Let her be" I ordered.
My men moved back a little while the parent of the pup went back almost crying. I knew the lad wanted to say something so I didn't want them to stop her.
"Everyone is free to speak even if it's a pup" I said looking down at the pup.
