章節 13: Cleopatra (a)
<Jace's Point of View>
A rare coincidence. At first, I just idly entered the library. Not for reading, just for fun. How could someone like me spend time reading? Previously, I hoped to meet Cleopatra here, considering that incidentally, she was a smart and diligent student. The beautiful long-haired girl who was part of the Cavern family was standing in front of the shelf, reading a book. Putting both my hands in my pockets, I approached her at that very moment. I took a book and pretended to read it next to her. But her eyes didn't turn to me for a second. She was already focused on her reading.
"Hi," I said suddenly which Cleo finally greeted with a friendly smile.
"Hi, you were the one that time, right?" she asked.
"Yes. I see you standing here. I guess a little chat wouldn't hurt."
"But we're not allowed to chat inside the library." She tucked some of her hair behind her ear in an almost gentle motion. Geez, what a shame. If only she wasn't my target. "I'm Cleopatra Cavern."
"Jace Bryant."
Suddenly, a woman walked up to us while clearing her throat softly. Her eyes were glaring at us, signaling not to be noisy in the library.
"Would you like to leave the library if you want to continue the conversation?" she shouted.
Cleo smiled widely as a sign of her apology to the librarian.
"Forgive us," she said softly.
The woman with round glasses finally walked away from us. She kept looking back over and over just to make sure we weren't making any more noise. If only this wasn't a school, I would've killed her.
"Well, since we're not allowed to talk inside the library, how about we chat outside?" I offered.
"Mmm…" She gave a considerate expression as he glanced at the ceiling of the building. But in the end, she gave a reply with a nod of his head. "Okay."
I smiled broadly as I let her walk first. She walked gracefully in front of me. Almost like a noble's daughter. It's not wrong if her parents gave her the name Cleopatra. She was stunning with her long dark hair, just like Queen Cleopatra.
Once again, it would be a shame if I chose her as my target to avenge Thomas Cavern's actions on my family.

As expected, Cleo is a cheerful yet innocent person. A sweet smile is never left on her lips whenever she talks to me. As she walked down the halls of the school, she told me things I never knew. In another corner of my mind, I regret that this cute girl has to die at my hands someday. But either way, she's a perfect target.
Praising her like that doesn't mean I'm in love with her. I'm known as a Casanova. Do you know what that means, hm? Conquering women's hearts is my pleasure. Praise them, please them, and look good in front of them. But quickly bored and will look for as many substitutes as possible. It could be in just a day, an hour, a minute, even a second. Which girl could resist my charms? Hmm. I thought of one girl's name. A girl who grabbed my heart paralyzed me, but she stretched out the thread I threw at her. She's not interested in me. A sweet girl who has been my best friend since childhood. With a calm and attractive personality. Too bad, I lost badly to my asshole cousin, Devon Macmillan. If the world knew, I would be laughed at all over the universe. A Casanova man who was violently knocked down by his wingless angel from above heaven. Ouch. I don't want to remember feeling disappointed, hurt, disgusted, annoyed, and so on.
