Well, even though Ryan had the charm of being the most admired student in this school, I was never—not at least—interested in him. Although I admitted that he was indeed charming—yes as a school star. But to be attracted to him… I didn't think so. Most of the students in this school did not interest me. There's another reason that made me feel so. The main factor was that boys were annoying, and liars and most often hurt girls' feelings. No lies, I bet you think so too.

But I responded to Jillian's sentence with my signature—lopsided smile. "Well, playing with him a little is fine."

The men of this world should know that women can be more dangerous than poisonous snakes. And the vengeance she did, was more painful than the whipping.

I slung my school jacket over my shoulders, walking with the laughter of my friends after leaving the last class. One of my friends, Hayley, brought us a new topic. Of all the students at this school, only Hayley knows the latest news at school, from the ordinary to the extraordinary. In my opinion, the news she conveyed was classified as ordinary news.

"If you saw him, I'm sure you wouldn't draw any attention from him," Hayley joked.

"As for Elsie, I doubt it," Isabelle replied, looking at me meaningfully. I giggled at that look.

"Ah! There he is!" Hayley shrieked pointing in a direction.

My head moved to look forward. A boy walked in a huff, showing a flat gaze and ignoring the admiring eyes of the students around him. The school jacket was slung over the shoulders with the buttons of the uniform unbuttoned, revealing a white T-shirt underneath. I didn't know why my first response was a short laugh. Okay, physically, he is above Ryan. But back to the original problem, all the students here did not interest me at all.

"Oh, him?" I asked disdainfully. "He looks like a hooligan."

"I like bad boys," Jillian muttered, biting her bottom lip. "He's so hot."

I ignore the whispers of my female friends at this time. I watched carefully the way the new student walked. His chin lifted, with defiant eyes. Our eyes met for a moment; the way he looked at me is so fixed and sharp as if to confirm that he doesn't like me.

"What's his name?" I asked a little curiously after seeing him disappear around the bend.

Still, with her look of amazement, Hayley answered my question. "Jace Bryant."
