"Alright Raegis, I'm going to need you to listen to everything I'm about to say, okay?" I told her.

She nodded her head, as her eyes sharpened seriously. "Imm."

"What I'm about to do requires you to have absolute trust in me, alright?" I held onto her cheeks and made her look me dead in the eyes. "That means you can't, under any circumstances, fight what I'm about to do to you."

Without a moment's waste of time, Raegis answered in an instant.

"I trust you."

I felt a pang of guilt echo within my being at her words, but I ignored them for now since I would require absolute concentration for what I'm about to do.

"Let's begin."

Gently, I brought our foreheads together and like she promised, she didn't move a muscle. She had given her body, mind and soul to me. It was then I knew that whatever happened from now would be on me since Raegis had done her part.

Then, I closed off the entire world and entered mine. There was nothing but colors, and the most prominent colors of black-gray, white and golden-pink appeared before my eyes.

Without hesitation, I ignored the black-gray aura that turned anything it touched to salt and ash, before turning my attention to the aura of white and golden-pink. I had a choice to make right now.

The first choice was to choose the energy of chi, and use it to fuse with Raegis's energy. It would be highly successful since chi was basically life energy, and every living being had it, which meant even unconsciously, her body wouldn't really reject it. . .unless I poured in enough life to make her pop. However, the results wouldn't be that good and we could be spending hours upon hours just to find what I was searching for.

The second choice, was to choose the energy of prana, the prana that had been doused in the energy of the Maiden until it's very core. Anything that had been doused in the energy of the Maiden was compatible with everything in the universe, anything, not to mention in contact with it, the being would be able to experience a huge improvement in at least one, if not all of their natural abilities.

This was one of the reasons why the Maiden had been so sought after ever since her first incarnation. After all, imagine if you had a whole army of demi-gods who would continuously grow the more they were doused in the Maiden's energy. No wonder even the kingdom of heaven and hell almost fell just to obtain the Maiden.

Oh right, the bad part about it, was that anyone who had been in contact with Maiden energy would. . .well, there was no good way to put it. They would be extremely horny, and would not be able to alleviate their lust unless they fucked at least ten bitches, or a single Maiden.

So, the first choice would be of no risk but with low rewards, and the second choice would be of high risk, but high rewards. Of course, the risk being that I would get plowed if I didn't find some way to calm her down.

Fuck it. I chose the second method. If worst comes to worst, I could summon Aegis and knock her out until we were able to find something she could fuck.

With a thought, I chose the golden-pink energy and brought it into every fiber of my being, temporarily switching out chi for a couple moments. When I did, I didn't feel so empowered like I could take on the world, and instead, I felt like I was the sexiest, most beautiful person in the world.

With nothing but pure will, I calmed it down, and manipulated it into waves so that Raegis would be able to sense it.

"Can you feel me?"

"Imm, it's. . .making me feel hot." Raegis whispered. "Getting. . .Hot. . ."

"Don't resist it." I told her. "Take it all in."

When I heard her heartbeat slow down to mine, I knew that it was time. Taking a deep breath, followed by Raegis, we both calmed down as the tips of my energy tried to get into Raegis as hers tried to do the same to me.

Then, we synergized. Euphoria. Words were no longer needed. In this state, our minds were connected and that meant that she was me, and I was her.

It was one thing to read this out from a screen, it was another to feel it happen in real life. It was unlike anything I had ever felt. Imagine the greatest hit you ever felt while taking a blunt, and multiply that by a thousand without any of the nasty side effects. That's what the both of us were feeling right now.

Our energies didn't go so far as to fuse with each other. Oh dear no, something of that level required us to at least be mates.

No, we kept each other at a distance, and even then, we were still in harmony with each other.

Then, I told her to follow my lead, as I led her to direct our harmonic consciousness outwards, to where we could finally start our search.

Equipped with Raegis's heart, and my eyes, we could see the world in a completely different way. We couldn't move our bodies, but our minds moved.

Using Raegis's heart as a compass, I moved us away from our location, following whichever direction made us feel hot. I used my eyes and senses to cut the time it would have taken normally in half, masterfully navigating us through the forest from the harmony the Maiden felt with nature.

We moved left, turned right, literally passed through a couple of Poison Toads, shifted past multiple trees, and after a couple of minutes of searching, finally, we had arrived.

We stood in front of an old tree, covered in vines, mushrooms and cobwebs, but our bodies felt like burning, as the need to investigate whatever that this tree was hiding burnt deep in our hearts. We had found it, we had found the first [Gate Of Steel].

Feeling curious, I attempted to touch the [Gate Of Steel] with our conjoined mind, but then a booming voice resounded through our core.

LEAVE!

Then, it was like a giant had punched us straight in the guts, breaking our harmonic connection and forcing each of us to open our eyes.

"GASP!"

My hands clutched my heart, and I couldn't believe the amount of sweat that was dripping down my back. I fell backwards onto the grass, disbelieving of how powerful that pressure was to the point that even the combined power of Raegis and I couldn't withstand a single second of it.

And, I was pretty strong right now, along with Raegis. The First [Gate Of Steel] must have detected us, or more specifically, the soul inside the [Gate of Steel] must have detected us with it's super-senses and kicked us out because of my presence. Last time I checked in the game, anyone who attempted to enter what was basically a god's domain didn't really return well, especially that poor little kid who happened to accidentally touch a [Gate Of Steel].

Spoiler alert, he poofed out of existence.
