章節 21: Chapter 14: Abrupt feelings
After coming downstairs, Haruame saw that Hikaru and Louis were already up. Hikaru was typing away on a computer and Louis was practicing different hairstyles on some wigs. Haruame didn't want to disturb them so he didn't notify them of his presence and just headed to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast. He stood in front of the fridge, Pondering on what to have as his mind began listing the possible things he could eat.
Cereal
Toast
Omelette
Poptart
Eggs and bacon
waffles
And the list just kept on getting longer and longer, He was starting to overwhelm himself and make his head spin from all the options he was giving himself. He took a deep breath in and a deep breath out, calming himself down as he just chose cereal since it was easy to make and they had plenty of different kinds of cereal.
He walked over to the cupboard that held all the cereal bags and opened it up, He saw more then 5 kinds on the shelves. His mind began spinning again as he just chose the one that was easiest to get to. The one he chose was lucky charms, He didn't hate lucky charms so he just went with it.
He walked over to the dishes and grabbed a light blue bowl to pour his cereal in before heading over to the fridge and grabbing some milk out. He poured his cereal into the bowl that was soon followed by milk. He put the milk and cereal back and grabbed a spoon before heading to the dining room, which was empty and quiet.
He sat down in one seat and began silently eating his cereal as his mind wandered from one thought to another, Not paying attention to anything else around him. He was too absorbed in eating and thinking that he didn't notice Hikaru and louis also sitting down at the dining table with him.
He only noticed when he felt a hand rest on his shoulder, He looked up and saw Hikaru smiling at him. Everything began rushing back suddenly, The silence ceased and the noise found its way back to him as he got pulled out of his thoughts by Hikaru and Louis.
" Haru-chan, What were you thinking about so seriously that you didn't even notice us walk in here? Was your cereal that interesting? " Hikaru joked, Leaning onto Haruame's left shoulder slightly as Louis gave him a slight glare from Haruame's right side.
" I was just letting my thoughts wander, I wasn't thinking about anything particular. Did you two need something? " Haruame inquired as he set his spoon rest in his bowl of half eaten cereal. He really wasn't thinking about anything in particular, In fact he doesn't even remember what he was thinking about.
" What, We can't want to hang out with you for no reason? Goodness, And I thought we were friends " Hikaru dramatically put a hand over his heart and fake sobbed. Haruame sweat dropped with a slight chuckle escaping his lips.
" I guess not, So what do you want to do? I don't have any plans today but that might change. It has been a few days since I let myself relax " Haruame commented, not seeing the looks Hikaru and Louis exchanged. They both slightly smiled over Haruame's shoulders.
" Then lets go out and have some fun! We can go shopping or to a park or wherever you want to go " Louis suggested. They both saw Haruame flinch, Wondering they said something wrong. They were about to ask what was wrong when they saw sparkles coming from Haruame's eyes as he looked up at the two of them.
" Wherever I want? Really? " He asked, As if afraid they would say no. They both nodded their heads, Waiting for him to speak again. They once again exchanged looks, immedia;ty understanding each other.
" Then . . . . . Can we go the aquarium? " Haruame asked the two male's, Who were slightly shocked that the aquarium was where he wanted to go but nodded their heads nonetheless. Haruame seemed extremely happy and almost looked like a little kid.
" Why do you want to go to the aquarium, Haruame? " Louis curiously inquired, Wondering why he chose the aquarium of all places. However, He liked seeing Harume happy and excited.
" Well, Don't laugh at me alright? " Haruame warned the two, who both nodded their heads, " I've only been to the aquarium once when I was really little with my father and I just can't get that experience out my mind. Its been weighing on my mind these past few days So I'm glad that you two asked me out!! " Haruame beamed at the two male's, almost blinding them from his bright smile.
" If your happy then we're happy. Besides The Aquarium is quite entertaining, We've been there a few times with our brothers " Hikaru rubbed Haruame's head with a slight smile.
Haruame was too happy imagining what the aquarium would be like to notice Hikaru's and louis's eyes gleam with hidden motives laying underneath them.
After setting a date for later today, Haruame finished his breakfast before heading back upstairs to get ready for the date. He was trying to decided whether he should crossdress or not when he ran into Ema in the hallway. She was panting heavily and had a face flushed with glazed eyes. She had hickeys all over her neck and her clothes were crumpled and disheveled.
" Where have you been, Ema? What happened to you? " Haruame asked her, putting his hand on her shoulder. He saw her flinch before swat his hand away, She glared at him but didn't answer his question. She walked away, well more like stomped away, leaving Haruame stunned from that interaction. He could put two and two together, So he could guess what happened and what his sister did but instead of letting her walk away silently, He decided to be a big brother to her for once.
He ran to catch up to her and grabbed her arm, He pulled her to a stop but she wouldn't look at him. He sighed and pulled her into his room. He closed the door behind him and made her sit on his bed while he stood in front of Ema with his hands in his hips while looking down at her from above.
" Where were you, Ema? " He asked her but she didn't give him an answer. Haruame sighed and lifted Ema's chin up so she would look up at him. He repeated his question but with a deeper voice and tick marks showing on his forehead.
Ema shivered slightly, " I was at a bar " She finally answered with slight hesitation as she ripped her chin away from Haruame's hand. Haruame was satisfied with a that answer but wasn't done with the interrogation.
" Who were you with? " He asked her, Hands back on hips. He looked like a mother ready to scold her daughter/son for being out too late. Which technically he was. Anyway, before he started asking anymore questions He gave Ema a glass of water and a wet rag to wipe herself down with.
" Answer my question, Ema. Who were you with? " He asked her again but slightly more aggressive. Ema flinched and scooted backwards slightly but answered nonetheless, " Some stranger. I don't know who it was, I didn't get his name but he was probably around 30-40 years old. We got a hotel and he paid me 50 dollars for sleeping with him " Ema told him everything that happened with her head hanging low, not daring to look up at her brother.
Haruame kept silent, not addressing his sister while he paced around his room. He was stunned that his sister sold her body for some money and the fact that she slept with some total stranger. Had she never heard the phrase "Stranger Danger"?
After staying silent for a while, He looked over at his sister who was sitting meekly on his bed. He sighed softly, She probably just wanted some money or some company. Although it was the best way to go about it, He could understand since he used to do the same thing when he was younger.
" Listen, Ema. Don't do that again. It is very dangerous to go to a hotel with a total stranger that you don't know. Next time you do this, Tell me where you are going and make sure you be careful with who you sleep with. You are only 17 and are very vulnerable, Alright? " Haruame gently reprimanded her. Ema was shocked that Haruame didn't start yelling at her or telling her off. She felt tears prickle her eyes as she leaned forward and hugged her older brother.
" I'm sorry, Haruame. I was just lonely, I just couldn't stay here and watch as you got closer to the brothers. I hated it and wanted to leaved this place for a little bit. He offered me money and I just couldn't refuse. It was horrible, I was scared but didn't resist. I'm sorry Haruame " Ema sobbed as she squeezed Haruame's waist tightly.
" Ema, I understand that you were jealous of me being close to the brothers but you should not do something like this just because you can. There could have been serious consequences. Please promise me that you won't do this again, At least don't be so reckless about it. I'm your big brother, I care about my little sister " Haruame hugged Ema back, Resting his head on Ema's head. Ema suddenly froze, She looked up at Haruame appalled.
" What? No, I wasn't jealous of you. I was jealous of the brothers getting close to you. I wanted you all to myself. Did you not know that? " Ema was certainly shocked to say the least but Haruame was stunned. His mind was struggling to process what Ema just told him.
Does that mean that Ema loves me?
" I love you Haruame. Not like a brother but as a man " Ema confessed before she leaned up and kissed Haruame on the lips. Haruame froze once again and felt like his mind just malfunctioned.
