A dark figure emerged from behind the trees.

Jerome wasn’t completely sure who that scent belonged to until he saw that young man standing beside the tree while lowering his head. He just knew that he had just come across that weird scent yesterday night.

“Ah! Cillian, is it?” Jerome questioned that young man who looked terrified for some reason.

Cillian didn’t dare to meet Jerome’s eyes because he was already aware of who Jerome was. After all, he had met Jerome and the others during the full moon.

He simply nodded his head while fixating his eyes on the ground.

Jerome was slowly closing the gap between him and Cillian. He didn’t want to startle Cillian away by being hostile towards him.

And while moving closer, he asked Cillian, “Why aren’t you at your home, Cillian? It’s too late for a young man like yourself to be roaming around alone.”

Cillian didn’t utter a word. He simply kept on staring at the road with his head held low.
