After they switched places, the real Duke Aaron Dresvil used magic to change the color of his eyes. His onyx eyes had turned into a pair of ocean eyes. But it slowly returned to its original color after he got married and had a son. He just told everyone his eyesight was getting blurred which caused the changes in his eye colors.
