Kai hesitated for a moment and then said, "Because I care."

Aylin was still looking down at her hands as she mumbled again, "Why?"

While running his fingers through his hair, Kaizer answered in a brief, a little confused and a little uncertain, "I just do." He shrugged helplessly, "I can't help it."

She sighed, clasped her slender hands together, and kept staring at them for a few seconds. The silence loomed between them like a heavy mist until Aylin broke the silence and spoke again, clearing her throat awkwardly, "Ahem! I don't rely on my enemy but it seems that… I don't really have any other option but to trust you."

Kaizer's eyes instantly lit up with his usual cheerfulness. Tilting his head in Aylin's direction, he answered instantly in his playful tone, "Exactly, let's make a deal."
