Rowan really had no idea where he was going, but as soon as he crossed his bridge he felt the insistent tug, tug, tug of his own magic in the threads of energy woven through the reality that made up his woods.

"Alright…what are you trying to tell me?" He said out loud as he walked down a path into the dappled green of the trees around him. 

His magic pulled on him again, more insistently now. Rowan talked to his flowers and even the plants in the woods all the time, but he never expected the energy in them to respond quite like this.

It felt like there was a long string wrapped around the hidden place inside him where all his powers came from. One end of the string was connected to him, but there was something on the other end trying to unspool it.

The strange feeling seemed to be coming from both inside and outside of him at the same time, not from this particular tree or that stretch of grass, but from something deeper.
