By the time Mallin left and the Creature once again relinquished control back to his creator, Ciprian's thoughts had become little more than a churning, fractured mess.

Now he sat on the edge of his bed, his head in his hands, while he concocted every possible scenario in his mind of how he should proceed. He took pieces from them all, straining to cobble them together in a way that made sense.

It was even starting to give the Creature a headache.

Though they disagreed on whether it was more important to kill Wren or Rowan, both the Creature and Ciprian felt satisfied by the possibility of using Mallin in the future. They just weren't exactly sure the best way to do so yet.

One thing the Creature was sure of, was that he couldn't rely on Ciprian to come up with a good plan on his own. The True Core was a true disappointment.
