Lysander took Nicasi's seat when the healer was done, and smiled serenely at Loma. "Do you like this game? I've been told I'm good at it. Would you care to play?"

"Yes." She blinked, clearly trying to anchor her awareness in the present. "I'm waiting for Alaric. There is something...that needs to come out. It's making it hard for me to breathe."

Rowan tensed slightly at the mention of Alaric. Apparently his sister could see that he was getting yet another visitor today.

She tried to return Lysander's smile as he began to reset the board with graceful hands, but her eyes were still somewhere else. No one said anything about her strange words, but no one needed to. Even if the adepts didn't know exactly what she was talking about, they could sense enough to know that pushing her to speak would only make her current mental state worse.
