   The concert was quite lively.

   In this indie band called Carpe Diem, I became the basis. Our band consists of a female vocalist named Ava Smith, me as the bassist, Thomas Davis as the guitarist, and Ben Rodriguez as the drummer. Carpe Diem was founded two years ago. However, we have quite a number of fans. Yes... because of the privilege of some members. One of them is me. Dad often helps with our promotions. Ava's family too—she's the daughter of a member of a popular country band.

   Once the concert was over, we gathered backstage. I checked my phone which seemed to have been flooded with messages from Mom.

   Mom: let me know when you're done, honey.

Hmm, Mom… she's protective. Since I was a kid, she was very protective of me and Lili. Maybe because she had lost a child, so she worried too much if she didn't hear from us. Therefore, I always give her news anywhere and anytime.
