A knock at the door stirred me up from my deep slumber. I looked around disoriented when I noticed I wasn't inside my room, and after a few seconds, everything that happened last night rushed back into my mind. 

I instantly bolted up when I remembered Jaxon, only to fall back on the bed because two arms were holding my waist. 

"Love, what's wrong?" I let out a sigh of relief when I noticed that it was just Scott. 

"I want to check Jaxon. I hope he's away from danger now." I replied, lying back on my pillow facing him. He opened his eyes and pulled me closer to him, planting a kiss on my forehead. 

I felt giddy instantly. I bite my lower lips hiding my giddy smile, but it doesn't escape from his eyes. He chuckled and poked both of my blushing cheeks. I couldn't believe until now that this beautiful species of a man has fallen in love with a plane species of a woman who is me.
