Marcus took a deep breath. Calm, pitch-black flames slowly floated off of his shoulders. He slowly exhaled, clearing his mind as he pictured a chaotic battle between feral monsters. This war between beasts was the image forced into his mind anytime he focused on his body's dark, negative energy.

At first, the grotesque, hideous monsters made it difficult for Marcus to focus longer, severely limiting his ability to cultivate the method. The large fleshy blobs fighting against one another disgusted him.

Beads of water clung along the ends of his sharp eyebrows; his shoulders and broad chest were drenched in sweat. Liquid drooled down the young man's defined abdomen.

His hands had long since changed position as he created a circle with his fingers, his hands resting in the middle of his lap. Dark energy had been collecting within the walls of his room for hours. His body greedily sucked it down, absorbing more with each passing second.
