The bright moonlight created long dark shadows on the forest floor and only the buzzing noises coming from the nearby insects could be heard.

It was her fault that her favourite human was now in danger and Eve would not blame Qin Lan if she no longer felt any sort of goodwill towards her.

This was a lot of information to take in all at once. 

First, she absorbed all of the memories from the original Qin Lan and then she had to deal with this.

So, her brother had somehow come back to life and there was a crazy test subject who wanted to kill Eve.
