Ayami once again slapped the fridge shut. No sound left her mouth as she bit down on her lip and stared at the fridge in disbelief for a long time. 

For a few minutes, she paced around the kitchen as she continued to talk to herself, trying to make herself believe that she was probably overthinking it. Maybe it was a hallucination. It had to be one! 

Having had enough time to calm herself down, she mustered up the courage to open the fridge for the third time, and this time, the fridge was rather empty—missing the head that had almost scared her to death. 

She heaved a sigh of relief as she patted her chest, "It was a hallucination... Thank God..." 

She quickly grabbed the water bottle from the fridge and closed it but when she was about to pour the water onto the glass, her hands stopped and instead of pouring it out, she threw the bottle into the trashbin, remembering how the bottle had been in the same fridge along with Akira's head.
