“Anything?” I spoke into the headset in my ear as I walked through the crowd.
“No, we’re still following these three.” Calhoun wasn’t here. We were hoping for one last go-round before the big sting. Hoping that maybe he’d lead us to his boss or some other higher up in the organization since they use these things like recruiting centers.
A pretty good crowd had turned out for the rally; it looked like most of the town’s people were here, with a whole lot of out-of-towners. The sounds and scents of the bikes made me long for mine that had been parked at home now for months. I should’ve brought it with me, seeing as I was coming to take over a bike club, but it wouldn’t have fit the image I was trying to portray.
