I swung by to see Billy and oversee his last call to Calhoun before the meet to make sure he didn’t screw it up. I figured if he called ahead, there would be no need for Calhoun to make any last-minute contact, which would take this thing south. One wrong move, and the whole thing could blow up in my face.
The others had gone ahead to the meeting place, with Wolf getting in position to plant the tracker while Sebastian and Garrett secured the perimeter in case there were any surprises. We’d learned from Billy that Calhoun always followed the same protocol in the past, which, if true, will work in our favor.
I saw Wolf’s handy work as soon as I climbed into the truck. I knew he had to be doing something other than hiding from some chick all day, and it was evident in the trail cams he’d placed around the area where the meet was about to take place. The live feed was on the screen of my dashboard, giving me a full view of the surrounding area.
