章節 444: The Choice

[A New Sub-Scenario has arrived!]

Category: Sub

Difficulty: SSS

Clear Conditions: Kill the Disaster of Floods, Shin Yoo-sung, and The Fire Dragon Ignir.

Time Limit: 2 Hours

Compensation: 250,000 coins, ???.

Failure: The Fall of Seoul

In one fell swoop Paul had tilted the table in his favour. How did he do it? No one can be sure. But they knew that he poured a lot of resources into bringing this about. And why?

He did it all for his revenge.

However, the Constellations enjoyed the now increased stakes. In desperate times exceptional moments and the heroes who create them are born.

'That or everything ends. And here I don't see a chance of us winning.' Dok-ja bit his lip until it bled.

Making a decision in such situations was the hardest. But, someone was capable of that here.

He turned towards Queresha, and the little kid beside her glared at Jung-Hyuk. However, the woman's eyes did not leave the ring on her finger. It glowed dimly and soon her eyes met Jung-Hyuk's.

"We'll win."

[The Incarnation 'Yoo Jung-Hyuk' had confirmed that statement to be true.]

Without any words, he turned to face the full-powered Beast Lord. He rushed brandishing his sword to unleash his strongest moves.

[He's facing the Dragon over there. They finally released him after so many complaints.] Bi-young contacted him immediately.

'So, that's how it is.' Dok-ja smiled and turned to face the Beast lord too.

Did he trust Haru to take care of the Dragon? He didn't know. This was the real disaster that destroyed worlds. He can already feel Lycaon trembling somewhere at the sight of those flames.

But, if there was someone in Seoul Dome that could face that Dragon alone. It can only be one person.

'Now I can fight with no hesitation.' White aura wrapped around Dok-ja's sword as a coat of fur appeared on his body.

Seok-chon, Song-pa, Seoul Dome.

The silent streets were now turned into a sea of fire.

The beam of red flames poured onto the building and reduced it to molten slag in a matter of seconds. The monstrous red Dragon in the sky moved its massive maw and struck other buildings.

But, that wasn't his aim. His breath of fire followed something like a spotlight. And once again he avoided the flame's path.

[Don't forget the deal, if you can't save Shin Yoo-sung then you'll leave Seoul Dome and go into the Tokyo Dome as an exclusive Incarnation on my Channel.] Do-gak's floated above with a wide smile.

"Yes I know, stop annoying me now. I have to focus." Haru took a sharp left before the flame caught up to him.

[Huhu, sure.] Do-gak decided to stay silent and rake in the money. Right now only he streamed one of the major fights of this scenario, and all he could say was that making coins has never been easier.

Haru being the lightning rod because of what happened prior to the Scenario. Constellations recommended the stream over and over as new viewers poured in to find out what the hype was about.

'Yes, this is it. I will make massive profits after he is bound to me. The 10% to 90% split was perfect too. That way they will have no chance but to donate so he can get some coins to survive.' With the card named Tsugikuni Haru, he would never fail in the Tokyo Dome.

Even if the Nebula Takamagahara—the dominant force in the Dome—went against him, they would have to watch his streams and fill his pockets.

As Do-Gak was counting his chickens, Ignir tried to erase his golden goose. But, it is easier said than done. Haru's quick feet kept didn't let the Breath of Flame land on him. He avoided it with sharp turns and used the surroundings to his advantage.

'Kurumi if I use all of my power right now, what level is my limit?' He asked.

[Some of the average Narrative grades or a little higher if you are willing to lose a few limbs. But, even then you'll need to be on your toes.] She didn't sugarcoat it because he needed to know that.

'I see. It was a good decision to limit our strength and hide.' He laughed but Kurumi waited a little, 'Do you think I can win this with my limited strength?'

To save Shin Yoo-sung as he promised and not let his group get hurt. That's the win condition for Haru. He wanted to have his cake and eat it too. A truly selfish condition, because if he saves Shin Yoo-sung it would invite trouble. But if he didn't save her Zenobia would be sad.

[Are you prepared to sacrifice?] Kurumi asked even if she knew the answer.

"Of course. But I'll be sure to take something of equal worth if not more." Haru stopped in the middle of the road with that.

[Oi, What are you doing?] Do-Gak shouted as the Breath of Hell closed in on Haru. If that hit him, not even his bones would remain.

Neither Paul nor he thought that Haru would defeat Ignir alone. After all, this beast was only brought out to hold him in place while the other came over after killing the Disaster of Floods.

[Many Constellations are laughing at the weak human spirit.]

'These annoying fuckers.' Do-Gak gritted his teeth. He didn't have the authority to stop Ignir from killing Haru. And Paul used his authority on the Disaster of Floods so he was in a bind too.

However, he didn't expect this reaction from him after he made such a brazen deal. The Breath of Hellfire struck him and moved on like nothing. Like it had burned a bug that wasn't even worth considering.

'Is he really …dead?' Do-Gak's heart sank. With this he got royally fucked, not only did he lose the Golden Goose. But, because he brought Haru in front of Ignir, he confirmed himself as an accomplice.

[The Constellations of the Nebula Takamagahara have their eyes on you.]

'It is over…. Everything is over…' Do-gak pulled at his hair.

Ignir turned his eyes westwards. The scent of strong warriors came from there, warriors worth burning. If they can stand his flames, he'll indulge them in Battle and crush them.

To cast heroes into the flames of despair as he denied their years of training and convictions. That was the reason why Ignir roused from the depths of hell and signed the Disaster contract.

He destroyed many worlds alongside the other disasters, but his offspring came to this world instead. However, he was slain and that brought about his interest.

So, when the opportunity to appear in this world and face the strongest incarnation came to him. He took it with no hesitation even if his strength got halved.

But this turned out to be a disappointment as he gave up before the fight even started. He flapped his four wings and decided to head west. Destroying another world was nothing special.

"Where are you going?" However, the voice that passed his ears made him stop. A flash passed his eyes, he turned his neck. But all he saw was blood, his blood.

The cut on his shoulder burned. It spewed red hot blood that melted the asphalt on the ground. He looked around but couldn't mind the one who did it. Someone who can cut through the scales forged in the pits of hell. Was bound to be formidable.

Ignir knew they wouldn't face him head-on. If they had any semblance of intelligence. Sneak attacks were the way to go with him.

Yet, his golden eyes caught a figure rushing straight for him. The blade in his hand glowed in a similar color to his eyes.

章節 445: Born From Flames

He kicked off the ground and jumped towards him.

A stupid move to make against an aerial enemy. Ignir swiped his swords like claws at the red-haired figure and cut him like a straw doll.

But then the sensation of the blade appeared on his back. The hot blood slid off his back, but he didn't care. He felt his claws slice through a human. And there was no other life form near them. So, who was the one who cut him?

As he thought that the red-haired figure rushed him again. The same reckless charge as before, but this time Ignir smashed him under his foot. The land below gave in as a gaping hole opened up and the surrounding structures got blown away.

Then his right hind leg went missing. Rather than missing it lay in front of him. The red figure reappeared and flicked the blood off his blade. The red eyes with the obscure pattern stared in his. A chill passed through his spine as he kicked off the ground.

With a missing leg, the balance wasn't perfect. But, Ignir had bigger problems. Even if he killed him. The figure would reappear and he would bleed. Such a thing hasn't happened in ages, but he couldn't stop it now.

This was something similar to an illusion. But, even if he knew, the way to deal with it wasn't plenty. Being caught in the illusion meant he lost half of the battle and got pushed into the reactive phase.

However, a reliable method to deal with it did exist and he had the best tools for it. An Illusion had its limits. Even if it could control his senses, it couldn't control the output of his attack.

[The Flame Dragon Ignir's Fable 'The Bringer Of End' has awakened…]

A Pillar of dark red flames engulfed the surroundings. It started from the ground and reached the dome above. Everything in its perimeter got turned into ashes.

[Has that bastard gone crazy? To use something like this?] Do-Gak rushed back. This is why he protested the use of Ignir, that dragon had many loose screws and cared not for orders.

As soon as he appeared in any world he did as he pleased. Even here there was no stopping him after he used that. The destruction of the Seoul Dome was imminent.

'Should I forcefully transfer him out of here?' Do-Gak's eyes landed on Haru who watched the pillar from a nearby building.

It would be possible if he could sweet-talk a few of his supporters to give him the resources to do that.

[The Constellation 'Noble Child of The Sun' is panicking.]

[The Constellation 'Goddess of Love and Beauty' urges the Dokkaebi to stop the scenario.]

[The Constellation 'Prisoner of The Golden Headband' doesn't like the way things are progressing.]

[Some Constellations think that the difficulty has gone overboard.]

[Many Constellations are happy with the current scenario.]

[Some Constellations want the incarnation to jump into the fire.]

Even with the few mean-spirited bastards in the chat. His plan became a possibility as a few powerful ones showed their distaste for this. However, before he could say a word Haru jumped into the flame.

[…] Do-gak's jaw dropped as the chat went silent.

None of them expected him to jump in. Even the ones who wanted it to happen didn't see it coming.

The terrifying force spread like a hungry beast as Ignir stood in the middle of this pillar.

Even if he was in an illusion, this attack would engulf the entire Seoul Dome. No matter where that figure was hiding. He would eventually be reduced to nothing alongside everything.

"He stands no chance now." The coarse voice came from Ignir's throat. This was his Ultimate move, a story he cultivated over the years. One that was born from destruction, and brought destruction alone.

"Did you really think that these flames can stop me?" However, he stood before him unfazed.

"How can you...?" The Flames that have burned worlds and their mightiest warriors did not affect him.

"Lukewarm." They didn't even make him sweat.

'No, it's not that the fire isn't affecting him. It isn't touching him at all!' Ignir watched his flames morph around Haru. It gave him space to walk through, it became the floor for him to step on, and it caressed his skin gently.

It did everything other than causing harm. This Flame that should be under his command, didn't listen to him.

"Who… are you…?" For the first time, Ignir felt fear.

The Being in front of him was the natural enemy of anyone who used Fire. However, Haru was beyond that.

"I don't have time to answer your questions." The swing of his sword covered his sight in red.

Thrown in darkness the merciless blade cut into Ignir's body. He bled and bled no matter where he tried to run. His wings got torn and he could feel himself crashing down into the unending abyss.

The one time he found a worthy opponent this happened. But even if he fought, what could he do? His flame couldn't do anything to him. His trump card. It was useless, pointless. The fight's outcome was already decided.

But how? He wanted to know. He wanted the answer before he died. Why wouldn't the flame under his control hurt him?

And as the last act of kindness, he got the answer.

"How can the flames burn someone that was born from it?" The feminine voice rang in his ears.

He didn't know the origin of the voice, but despair gripped his heart. It turned out like he had thought. The Flames he was so proud of were useless.

His limp body crashed onto solid ground as the blade dug into his skull to claim his life.

[The Disaster of Flames, Ignir has been slain.]
