Dok-ja left quickly to get Jung-hyuk as Soo-young glanced at Haru, there were only two thoughts in her mind.
'Who are you? And why do I keep thinking this question?' Soo-young frowned, it was difficult for her to understand since no matter how much she thought she was only drawing blanks.
On the other hand with Haru, he was looking at his wristwatch.
"They are here," Haru said looking to the right and there was a small team of people led by…
"The backup has arrived!!" It was none other than Jin-ah and…
"Sorry we were a little late," Sang-ah apologized looking at Haru they were supposed to come early but…
"Where is Dok-ja?" Gil-young threw a fit wanting to join in which delayed them and in the end Sang-ah had to bring him along.
"He will be back in a second so wait a little," Haru said and Gil-young even with his current impatience listened to him, albeit he couldn't sit still and was constantly looking around the place with his insects to search where Dok-ja was.
"It seems like we don't need to fight," The leader of the hunting party from Zenobia's group said.
"Yeah, we barely stopped the meteorite from hatching, you can say luck was on our side," Haru said as he walked towards them with a smile.
The reason he had Zenobia prepare a backup team while Hae-in and him went ahead was because they were short on time.
So, his plan was to reach the place at top speed and prevent the Disaster from appearing if it hadn't, and if they fail…
'Both me and Hae-in could play it off safely with our already established feats in speed and combat ability, so it wouldn't be an issue even if we can stall the disaster till the backup arrives,' Haru had also made a plan just in case the Disaster was too absurd for them to deal with, in that case, he could have Hae-in run away. At the same time, he would do the same later after using the illusion which was already established in everyone's eyes.
But thankfully things didn't come to that and he was able to stop the Disaster from appearing while also dealing with the guide Antinus smoothly.
And then there was…
"Sorry to have you all come this far for no reason," Haru spoke to the leader and the team of the 10 people who came along with him.
"It is no problem since it is better to always be safe than sorry, not to mention that having to not fight is always better," The woman named Baek Su-jin laughed like it was nothing, and she indeed did mean it leaving all of her other intentions aside.
"I agree as well Su-jin-ssi," Haru laughed along with Su-jin since it would indeed be so much better if no fights happened.
'She's interested in him, probably just the looks,' Soo-young thought as she saw Dok-ja come out of one of the churches and she saw Gil-young run to him at top speed.
"Gil-young!" Dok-ja was of course surprised and hurt by the tackle from the kid who was now hugging him.
'Was he with Haru-ssi? Then where was he up until now?' Dok-ja wondered and…
"He was staying at the base of a friend I know and made a fuss to come along with the backup team since he wanted to meet you," Haru said as he walked over.
"Oh, sorry for the trouble," Dok-ja said looking at the team that just came but they just waved their hands like it was no big deal, and he also happened to notice Sang-ah.
"There is something I would like to ask," It was here that Seol-hwa spoke since she had also noticed the backup team, she had been meaning to ask this for a while but now seemed like the proper time.
"Hmm, sure," Haru nodded as he didn't see why he shouldn't hear her out, given that….
"I would like to talk to Zenobia-ssi about the offer she told me about before, so would Haru-ssi tell her that when you go back?" Seol-Hwa asked she was now considering joining for a few reasons.
"I see no problem with that, in fact, you can ask her right now," Haru said as he handed his phone to Seol-hwa who was perplexed but as soon as she saw the screen her eyes widened a little…
'A phone call?' Seol-Hwa looked at Haru and he just smiled, in the end, she took the phone after just thinking for a second.
"Hello?" Seol-hwa spoke as this felt weird now, something like this was the norm just a week or so ago, but now it felt uncanny because of what happened.
[Yes, Seol-hwa-ssi, I heard you are considering my offer?] Seol-hwa was a little shocked to hear Zenobia's crystal clear voice coming from the phone.
'They already have such means?' Seol-hwa didn't know what to say since something like this would be a game changer given how many ways they can use it.
"Yes, I will like to take up that offer, if it is still available," Seol-hwa wasn't an idiot and she knew that it could be possible that Zenobia may not let her proceed now since she had refused before.
But to her surprise...
[Well then, I guess I'll see you soon, be safe on the way I personally wouldn't want any of our new members to get hurt.] That was all Zenobia said, no jeering words, no demands and such like Seol-Hwa thought, in a sense, it even seemed that she was happy that this was happening.
'So, she actually was just trying to help back then,' Seol-hwa had thought that Zenobia must be planning something when she met her the first time.
She was right to think so given how bad things were around Seoul, and as a poison user Seol-hwa knew more than anyone else how many ways there were to kill someone if needed, she had seen human cruelty at the start of the scenarios first-hand.
'But I guess it makes sense, after all, they are in the same group,' Seol-hwa looked at Haru for a bit before getting back to work, she had to talk to her group members and tell them about what she thought was the best for all of them.
Even then…
"I didn't expect some of them to riot like that and even attack you," Jin-ah sighed since some of the more insane fanatics who bought into Antinus's bullshit and got violent since their entire sanity was hanging on the salvation she promised to them by using Seol-hwa's body.
They were pissed to know that they would not continue with the original plan and tried to attack Seol-Hwa.
"Once again thank you for helping me," Seol-hwa looked at Haru who was the one who stopped them very easily without anyone else even needing to move a step.
It was just that they weren't stopping their attacks so they needed to put them down before they make any big problems down the line, but the one who killed them was someone no one there expected.
'Just like I thought, there is something different about Sang-ah,' Dok-ja thought looking at Sang-ah, she was the one who killed some of those extreme fanatics in one move while Seol-hwa finished the rest with her own hands since she didn't want any problems to appear down the line.
"It is no big deal after all we are part of the same group now," Haru said as this thing was simple, he didn't even need to do anything so it was minimal effort.
'I don't like the look on that face,' Dok-ja blinked looking at Seol-hwa's face, 'I feel bad for you Jung-hyuk, only a little though.'
"Then how are we going to carry this thing?" Jin-ah was more focused on the meteorite since no matter how they looked at it this wasn't going to be easy.
First thing first the meteorite was huge not to mention the state of the roads at this moment, this was basically a monumental task if left to humans alone which is why…
"Hey, guide mind giving us a hand?" Haru looked at Lycaon who has been silently just sitting in the corner.
But hearing him being called Lycaon opened his eyes and looked at Dok-ja, he was basically asking for permission and…
'Don't look at me you are making me the center of attention, and why are you looking at me to complete your duty anyway?!'
