The moment the words fell, Charlotte Cooper saw the person on the bed shrank back slightly in fear. "Actually, I think it's fine for this cute doctor to do it. Could you please make my wound look a bit nicer?"
The doctor twitched his eyes and dared not look directly at Charlotte.
After quickly finishing dressing the wound, he greeted Henry Russell and then left.
Charlotte watched his retreating figure, then looked at the person on the bed. "How do you feel?"
The doctor didn't mention the extent of the injury earlier, so she wasn't sure how serious it was.
"It's just a scrape. Rest for a while and it'll be fine," Henry reassured her, seeing her confusion.
"The wound isn't on you, how would you know it's just a scrape? I feel like my whole leg is numb. I need a good rest."
Charlotte frowned, "What are you planning?"
Seeing the glint of mischief in her eyes, Charlotte knew she wasn't as innocent as she seemed. As expected, her next words confirmed Charlotte's suspicions.
