章節 2: The Legend
Suddenly a male voice is heard from outside of his room
"Sister, what are you doing with the trash?".
Another voice followed in an innocent tone
"Trash? isn't he a loser?"
Lin Tamayo got her mood changed in an instant she stood up from the bed and shouted "How..."
She was stopped by a hand covering her mouth. The hand belongs to Lin Cian. Her eyes looked at his eyes in rage but he nodded his head sideways gesturing not to involve.
Cyan shouted to them "Daoren, both are the same"

There were two boys outside of the room. They started to laugh but tried to control their laugh and not to make a sound. They were the second and third sons of Baron Lin Yasho.
Lin Daoren and Lin Kuo Jian. They were twins and were a knight of soul gathering stage. They both looked like two jewels made of the same piece of jade. They were a little taller than a meter moreover how tall can be a twelve-year-old kid? Except for their swords, no one can identify them otherwise, because they are identical twins and were called twin jades of Lin.
They had neither muscular nor weak bodies. They had black hair like Lin Tamayo. Their eyes had a pupil which looked like a sparkling piece of obsidian. Their jawline was chiseled but charming and appeared to be energetic, unlike their elder brother.
Lin Daoren wields a single-edged curvy blade. It looks like a saber that is used for slashing and chopping. He also invented a skill by referring to some existing skills. He can clown his sword to have a pair of swords in either of his hands. He did it at a very young age which is a great surprise for others. The blade was made of a high-grade 'metal ore'. The hilt and pommel were made of bronze and the handles were made of a rare animal's tusk. It also had a sharp edge on the other side for a length of six inches.
The blade had a moderate curve which also allowed thrusts but had a great advantage in slashing and chopping. Because of the perfect curvature of the blade, it almost enables its wielder to slash with his eyes closed. It is also a reason which helped Lin Daoren to push his limits to wield two swords at a time.
Lin Kuo Jian on the other hand wields a long straight two-edged sword. The sword he wields can also be used as a single-handed weapon but it can also be effective when used double handedly. Although he was thought to use his weapon single-handedly he learned double-handed wielding by himself. He prefer to use both one-handed and two-handed ways to wield and he ended up creating an effective method using the combination of both at a small age. Adding to it he made everyone stun by effectively learning the skill of flying a sword in a few months.
The straight double-edged sword let him slash and chop as well as effectively thrust. His long double-edged tapered blade was also made of a high-level aura emitting metal ore. The hilt and pommel were made of bronze. The handle is made of red mulberry wood in its core and was covered with ray skin. Thick silk threads were tied in a criss-cross pattern to improve the handgrip of the sword.
As humans know the knights can be categorized into three stages based on their strength and their cultivation. The earth-level knight, the star-level knight, and the celestial knight.
Earth level knight is classified into three as follows the black knight, silver knight, and the golden knight. Black represents iron, silver and gold represent the metals silver and gold because these were the most valuable common metals found on the earth and so the ranks are named after them.
The black knight level is the energy gathering level so technically the twins are genius who were black knights at age of twelve and not everyone can reach this stage earlier.
Star level knights also have three stages and they are black star knight, silver star knight, and golden star knight. The black here doesn't mean iron, it represents the meteor. The silver star represents the moon and the golden star represents the sun. The reason to name these stages after stars are that the cultivator at the earth level uses the essence of nature to cultivate. But a star-level cultivator would cultivate by drawing energy from stars. Humans believed the meteor, the moon, and the sun were a type of stars so they used them to represent the stages for star-level knights.
As for celestial knights, everyone thinks it is a legend. There is no record of a celestial knight was found in the past three hundred years. But there seemed to be some of them who were rumored to be stronger than the golden star knights and sometimes called celestials but they disappeared and that's what legend says through books.
The boys couldn't stop their laughter and high-fived each other and decided to move. They moved towards the opposite way of the corridor while laughing.
After the hassle ends, Lin Cyan cheered Lin Tamayo by doing different gestures. After a while, he told his sister "Be humble, be helpful... hmm... If one day you don't like to be a mage ask yourself why did you choose the path to be a mage? and ask yourself why do you want to quit?"
His sister was staring at him by blowing her cheeks and listening to him because she liked the way her brother speaks and the way he approaches her. Though he was weak she always took him as her role model for his humbleness.
He once again said
"Tamo it's ok to lose, but don't lose to yourself"
Tamo is the way Lin Cian calls her. It's kind of her nickname which only he use to address her.
Tamayo stared at Lin Cian in confusion
Lin Cian understood and smiled before answering "emotions are something that defines you, it is like a game of choices, you will be given some white and dark shards when you pick the wrong one you lose"
'She was quite confused,' Cyan said to himself.
Once again "remember my words. There will be a day for you to understand and unearth the secrets behind it," he said in a calm and clear tone with a gentle smile.
Tamayo happily shouted "if I couldn't then you should have to help me"
Cyan just smiled and nodded his head as fine. His sister kissed him on his cheeks and said in her childish tone while extending her tiny little finger.
"Pinky promise"
Cyan forced a happy smile on his face and shouted in her ears "Fine".
Then he holds the extended pinky finger of hers with his pinky finger and kissed the back of her hand as words slipped out of his mouth
"I promise"
