The limited space on the couch was inconvenient for the man to roll on. Therefore, when he attempted to flip, it ended up with him falling down from the couch, landing himself with a loud thud.

This got him to open his eyes, breaking away from that dreamless sleep, and a sharp pain travelled through his neck due to the awkward position he slept in.

Hearing the noise grabbed the attention of Laura who was fixing herself a cup of coffee. Walking over, she saw Kayden attempting to sit up from the floor while rubbing the back of his neck.

A chuckle left her mouth at it.

The man swept his eyes across the unfamiliar room before bringing them to stop at Laura and stared at her in confusion.

"What a way to wake up," she commented.

Before he could open his mouth to ask on what occurred, memories of last night flooded into his mind. He recalled everything very much clearly, and extreme shame overcame him due to that.
