Nefretiri
There are monsters under the bed and in the closets. Things that reach out from the cusp of your subconscious haunt you even on the most peaceful nights. There are evil beasts who only live to devour your soul for no other reason than to see you suffer and can only find pleasure in your destruction. Those things are real; no light or prayer can make them disappear. I know it's true because I've seen them.
People believe those evils only exist in their minds, and if they wish hard enough, they'll go away. The problem with that thought is darkness has physical forms, and when they find you, you're inevitably caught. Ezekiel was part of that evil, and he had no redemption. Not because he couldn't find his way out of it. That would be too easy, and if he tried, he'd only stop once he was a saint. That was who Ezekiel was; at least, that's what he told me the day he tortured my brother.
