Ivan
Even in my wolf form, I felt the pain of the Jinn's magic affect me. It was something no one expected, and only Luke knew about it. So, I couldn't push myself as hard as I used to, but now, that pain meant nothing. It was still there, but I ignored it, forcing my body to move faster and harder as her scent grew stronger. The wind was coming in my direction as if it were guiding me, but I knew that meant she couldn't smell me.
I hardly knew anything about my mate. The only information I had was what my mom told me about her. The times I spoke to my uncle, he skirted the subject as if he wanted me to avoid getting curious about the visiting princess. But, even that had been a slip on my mother's part that she begged me not to share with anyone. So, what I know was limited to the fact she was a princess and apparently had the powers of a sorceress. None of that mattered, and it only made me more impatient to see her.
