On the evening of the 3rd day, Louise was finally found but her situation was not that good.
She needed the operation hence, Dr. Lei waited for Jonas and Butler Fil at the OPD. He didn't have the heart to leave behind the young girl whose life was hanging by a thread.
Roughly after 20 minutes, Jonas appeared at the OPD. His bloodshot eyes were seething in anger. He could not believe that his daughter whom he cherished became a comatose patient in just 3 days.
What on earth happened?
"Fil, go back to the mansion and compile the CCTV footage. I won't let anyone off." Jonas instructed before he walked towards bed no. 15.
His daughter.
"Yes Sir." Butler heeded his instruction and walked back.
"Jonas Morgan?" Dr. Lei asked as he walked towards the bed.
"Yes. You are?" The man removed his gaze away from the unconscious Louise.
"I'm the attending physician of OPD. She's under my care during this 3 days. Dr. Brandon Lei." He said and introduced himself.
"How's my daughter?" Jonas asked.
"She's still unconscious. She has a stab wound on her stomach and her lungs suffered from a blow. She got under shocks 4 times. I almost lost her last time. She needed surgery. Her heart rate continued to drop everyday." Dr. Lei said.
He really wanted to save her.
"Do what you can Dr. Lei. I want you to save her. Please save her. She's the only one I got." Jonas said solemnly. He could not lose her as he already lost his wife, Agatha.
"Don't worry Mr. Morgan. It's not too late to perform the operation. As for her eyes, I am not an opthalmologist, so I will leave it to the specialist." Dr. Lei said.
"Her eyes..." Jonas trailed off. He could not reveal this casually. He needed some time.
"I'll forward her medical records for you Dr. Lei." Jonas said as he decided internally.
"Okay that's for the best. Thank you Mr. Morgan. I will schedule her operation tomorrow afternoon." Dr. Lei said.
"I should thank you instead Dr. Lei. Without you, I could have lost my daughter." Jonas said with so much gratitude.
"It's my job Mr. Morgan. I need you to sign the consent. Please come with me." Dr. Lei walked towards Nurse Leila.
Jonas wordlessly followed.
"Dr. Lei, upgrade my daughter's room to a private one." Jonas said after some time. He scanned the consent and found nothing wrong so he signed it.
"Nurse Leila, do help Mr. Morgan with the procedures. I'll call Lisa to watch over here." Dr. Lei said as he pressed the intercom to call over the other nurse.
"Please come with me Mr. Morgan." Leila ushered.
Jonas got up from the seat and followed out.
Dr. Lei sighed with relief as he can operate the girl now and he knew that she's going to hang on until the end.
Beep. Beep.
The machine echoed along the noiseless corridor.
